Arms manufacturers in at least two states with strict new gun laws are making good on their promise to move their operations -- along with thousands of jobs and millions in tax revenues -- to locales they deem friendlier to the industry.
In Connecticut, where venerable gunmakers like Colt and Sturm, Ruger & Co. have been joined in the last decade or so by upstarts like Stag Arms and PTR, reform of gun laws in the wake of the Sandy Hook school shootings has left the industry feeling unwelcome. Bristol-based high-end rifle manufacturer PTR Industries announced this month via Facebook that it would be taking its 40 jobs and $50,000 weekly payroll to an unspecified new state, widely believed to be Texas.....

Good for Texas and good for freedom!
Once again...

States need to start asserting their “10thness”.
This country was supposed to be a republic,
and people should move to states that support the types of freedoms they seek.
If that “freedom” is socialism, move to a socialist state, and leave the rest of us alone.

I live in Colorado and I agree that this state no longer deserves to have fine companies like Magpul here. There are still plenty of law-abiding, gun-owning citizens in Colorado, but we’ve been swamped by liberals from the east and west coasts and are no longer a conservative state.
Is Kimber still in New York?

It is. Yonkers.
Moving out of my current blue state of New Hampshire to Arizona. Although New Hampshire made progress in the last couple of years in terms of loosening gun laws, the legislature went blue and much of that progress is being repealed. So much for ‘progressivism’.
I’m originally from Louisiana. I’ll never tell my new neighbors I moved from the Blue Coast.
Louisiana is home to the freest citizens of all fifty states. They’re popularily known as “swamp people”.
God bless the Cajuns!
Not that any CT legislator, in this business unfriendly state, cares.
