VICTORY: Georgia Gov. Signs Expansion of Illegal Alien Crackdown (SB160)
By John Hill on April 26, 2013
Way to go, Peach State!
Gov. Nathan Deal yesterday signed S.B. 160 a tough expansion of Georgias H.B. 87, the Arizona-style law cracking down on illegal aliens, which passed in 2011.
The La Raza lobby was left stunned and upset, believing Deal would bend to the prevailing GOP pressure for immigration appeasement in Washington, and veto it. They were sadly mistaken.
Passed in the final hours of the General Assemblys 40-day session and despite fierce lobbying against it by ethnic intimidation groups, big business interests, and the ACLU Senate Bill 160 was created to fix problems in licensing delays related to the old bill, but was later amended to add the following strong anti-illegal provisions, all now law:
Bans illegal aliens from getting state drivers licenses.
Blocks illegal aliens from getting state, grants, public housing and retirement benefits.
Prevents people from using foreign passports to obtain public benefits, unless those passports include records indicating they are in the country legally.
Mandatory participation in E-Verify for contractors doing business with city, county and state government agencies.

Good for GA. That kind of action needs to come across the line here to SC so the illegals won’t.
Yep...in this instance, I’m proud of him. Not at all of Chambliss or Isakson. Not one damn bit.
You’ll never see such a measure even introduced in Illinois. Illinois has a HUGE illegal immigrant population, well over a million. There are parts of Illinois that are de facto Mexican colonies.
And the ACLU will arrive in 3...2...1...
What a shameless con-artist. The people he's defending are not only here illegally, but they've been obtaining government benefits under false pretenses. Now he's outraged that those benefits (which were never rightly theirs to begin with) are being denied?
Following Mr. Lopez's logic, we should feel sorry for thieves whose livelihoods and means of support are denied to them when laws against theft are enforced. After all, to quote Mr. Lopez, "what can they do now?"
These policies are needed most in border states, where entire counties are parts of Mexico in everything but name. Unfortunately, only Arizona's politicians (hacks like McCain notwithstanding) have had the courage to do anything about it. On immigration enforcement, even conservative Texas may as well be Illinois.
Hey Marco, come on down to Georgia and we will show you how to do immigration reform. :-)
Isn’t it nice to find that some of our elected officials actually represent US?
GOD BLESS AMERICA!
You aren’t kidding. Once a couple years ago, as the biggest example I can think of, there was a big sale at JC Penney in Yorktown and I walk in, start wandering the store and realize that I had not seen another white person in quite awhile. So I started to keep count. By the time I left the store I had counted 3 white people total. Since then, when I’ve taken my grandson to parks, McDonalds play places, etc. we are always in the minority. Sometimes the only caucasian people there. It made me wonder where all the white Americans bring there kids. Seems those kids are being sheltered in their little backyards or something.
And Yorktown is in Lombard!
