The trial of Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell, facing the death penalty for the deaths of four infants and one woman in his clinic, is over. America has moved on.
Its exactly what the pro-abortion contingent wants. They want Gosnell out of the news because they want abortion out of the news. Ongoing discussion provokes thought about the status quo. And pro-aborts want to keep things as they are. And, they have reason to be confident.
Our president, whom no one can accuse of not being politically astute, showed up this week, despite the Gosnell story, as the first sitting president ever to address Planned Parenthood, the nations largest abortion provider.
When Kirsten Powers brought attention to Gosnell with her USA Today column, she said it wasnt about abortion. This is not about being pro-choice or pro-life, she wrote. It is about human rights.
For Powers, the story was about lack of supervision. And, of course, where abortions are carried out legally, clinics should be supervised and inspected.
But to leave the story there is to be content with the tip of the iceberg. And the whole iceberg is a huge story that all of America should be looking at.
The whole iceberg is bigger than abortion itself. It is about how profoundly America has changed since Roe v. Wade, in 1973, made abortion an accepted part of American life.
Lets be clear that pro-aborts and pro-lifers differ on far more than technicalities about when life begins. They differ about what life is.
In the state of Pennsylvania, where Gosnell .............

I find it moronic and ironic that most libs that are for abortion are violently against the death penalty.
So I guess that murders and rapists are more coddled by libs than an innocent baby.
Obama will pardon Gosnell before leaving office.. assuming he’s in prison by then. Probably in December of 2016. As narcissistic as he is, this twisted guy has to be one of zero’s heroes.
The legality of abortion undermines and delegitimizes the entire criminal justice system in my opinion.
Having been a prosecutor and now defense attorney I will say that the more I do this job the more I realize the whole thing is a farce.
I have represented a parent charged with a felony for leaving an infant in a locked car (with no heat or weather hazard) for 5 minutes while on a pay phone where she was twenty yards away and kept her eye on the car the whole time.
I told the prosecutor it was quite odd that if she had asked a Dr to pull the baby apart limb by limb just a week before this grave offense then that would have been a constitutional right, but the circumstances above now constitute a felony offense.
He just rolled his eyes and said “the law is the law.”
That’s why I’m not at that DA’s office anymore, amongst a host of other reasons. The system makes no sense.
The 56 million abortions since Roe v. Wade has likely cost America 100 million residents, when you consider the families that aborted children would have eventually had themselves. This has created a demographic crunch used by open borders proponents to push for massive increases in immigration. Rgw liberals who kill their own unborn children then need to hire immigrants to care for them in nursing homes.

everyone, that supports abortion, has the blood of thousands on their hands...and to those, that don’t speak out against...are wallowing in the blood of thousands, perhaps millions....no society can continue, walking in the blood of innocents....we saw that during the last war....look what happened to those that dipped their hands in human blood....self-inflected genocide...
If you go back to the 60-70s you’ll find the start of the culture of death. The people and entities of the far left have openly stated that over-population is the biggest threat to the world.
Hillary Clinton, Bill Gates, and the UN have all stated the population of the world should be cut by 75%.
In that context many of these decisions make sense. Sick and evil but it adds up.
You can help the victums of insane laws by representing them.
(until they yank your license...)

The escapades in the jail in Baltimore may change the liberal view on this. They are content to lock men in prison for life because they cannot father children while they are locked up. At least, that used to be the case. They are now going to have to rethink this after that convict in Baltimore fathered five children with female prison guards. Always remember that the liberals/Democrats greatest fear is that there are/will-be too many people on this planet.
This sounds harsh, but my son always says not to discourage liberals from reproducing, if ya get my drift.
Well good, when they are all gone along with their ideology, guess who will be left?
For liberals and socialists, abortion is the code word for “sexual freedom”. Nothing else counts, and this is true for many “moderates” too. Even Barry Goldwater, Richard M. Nixon, and John Tower were abortion boosters.
“They are content to lock men in prison for life because they cannot father children while they are locked up.”
I had a co-worker describe how one of her friends would visit her boyfriend in prison, and in the visiting room they’d get busy (in front of other people visiting other inmates). The boyfriend would wear sweats with no undies in anticipation, and she’d climb on in a skirt with no undies, and she had gotten pregnant from him while he was locked up.
The horrors revealed in this trial are equal to those perpetrated by the Nazi doctors on concentration camp inmates. Yet rather than be abhorred, the country seems to ignore this infamy or as Obama does simply say this is a “woman’s right”.
