Set amid the rolling plains outside Aleppo, the town of al-Safira looks just like another vicious battleground in Syria's civil war. On one side are lightly-armed rebels, on the other are government troops, and in between is a hotly-contested no-man's land of bombed-out homes and burned-out military vehicles.
The fight for al-Safira is no ordinary turf war, however, and the prize can be found behind the perimeter walls of the heavily-guarded military base on the edge of town. Inside what looks like a drab industrial estate is one of Syria's main facilities for producing chemical weapons - and among its products is sarin, the lethal nerve gas that the regime is now feared to be deploying in its bid to cling to power.

Ship all that stuff back to Iraq, where it came from! /s;)
Any indication of this is the alleged stash from Iraq?
Not if Obama has anything to say about it.
yup, as the great Ghazi operates from OUR White House, funding and empowering muslims globally for their assault on western man , Israel and the demise of America itself , and get this.....ALL at American Taxpayers expense.
On the contrary, obama is sending about 1/2 billion in aid to them to help defeat Assad.
Got to finish his muslim caliphate foreign policy from Tunisia to Turkey you see.
Mark my words. If Al-Qaeda gets ahold of that, it will be used in America on Americans.
Absolutely right.
Of course, he's also the guy reputed to have met with Iraqi IIS in Pregue where some theorized he was given a vial of some substance that our government seems to be in perpetual denial about.
1990s : () ....snip.... “Abu al-Qaqasometimes referred to by his original name Dr. Mahmud al-Aghasiis a rising phenomenon in Syrian politics because of his growing popularity in Syria since 2003.
Abu al-Qaqa was born to a Kurdish family in the village of al-Foz, north of Aleppo, in 1973. His father was not a religious scholar, but rather lived the life of a simple farmer.
Al-Qaqa studied Islam at Damascus University and obtained his MA and PhD from the Islamic University in Karachi.
He began to preach to the pious at the Alaa Bin Hadrami Mosque in Aleppo in the 1990s. Loudly anti-American, he attracted a wide audience during the Iraq War in 2003 and his reputation has been spreading ever since. His speeches, which by now were recorded on cassettes and DVDs, began to reach thousands and were distributed in towns and villages all over Syria.
One person who has seen his sermons described him, saying, “He is an inflammatory speaker and possesses great oratory skills, in addition to being a master of dialogue” (author interview in Syria, June 22).
It is said that he has mastered the Arabic language, and uses it with eloquence to appeal to the masses that attend his sermons. In an interview with al-Arabiya TV on June 23, Abu al-Qaqa denied that he was calling on Syrians to go to war in Iraq. He cited an example when he spoke at a youth festival shortly after the fall of Baghdad, attended by 15,000 Syrian young men, advising them not to go to Iraq. He admitted that he received thousands of Arab recruits who visited him in Aleppo and wanted to go to Iraq for jihad; due to Aleppo’s proximity with Iraq, and the reputation of its clerics and their history of opposing the U.S. occupation, it was a stop for many jihadists en route to Iraq. He convinced them, however, to return to their countries, saying that warfare at such a stage “harms the nation” (al-Arabiya, June 22).
This seemed to contradict what Abu al-Qaqa had been saying on the recorded CDs, but he qualified his new stance, arguing that he was calling on the youth to “burn” and “slaughter” the Americans only if they came to Syria (al-Arabiya, June 22).”——Terrorism Focus , June 27, 2006 http://www.jamestown.org/terrorism/news/article.php?articleid=2370045 Posted by Cindy On News/Activism 06/28/2006 3:35:34 PM PDT · 1,500 of 1,512
One would suspect Obama is a Muslim Terrorist.
Obama is far worse than any single terrorist.
He is destroying all that was good in America
and opening it up for the end of the USA.
(as Congress greedily cashes its checks, obliviously).
“I suppose if the U.S. is going to do anything, striking this place now with cruise missiles might be a good idea. “
We probably won’t hit it. But if the plant can be used to supply chemical weapons or if there is a store of materials nearby I suspect we can count on Benjamin Netanyahu. It kills me that I have more faith in the leader of another country to do the right thing for humanity than I have in the leader of my own country. That is one thing I miss about GWB. I believed that when he took the 3:00 am call he would make a decision that he felt would best protect American lives and interests, that his decision would minimize US casualties and that he would protect and defend America’s allies. I do not feel that way about our current president. I beg those of you who will sit out the next election if your favored candidate isn’t nominated to consider this. A Bob Dole, John McCain or Mitt Romney would at least do their best to protect American interests and lives.
Good post.
This is the exact pattern shown in the breaking up of the first Israel due to its spiritual corruption. Turning your back on God is a turn for the worse.
Right after the battle is raging in the streets around the chemical genocide plant, the IAF needs to hit it with a nice spread of bombs. Two birds, one stone, three problems solved.
