Between Conan O'Brien and Obama, I'd say at least 70% of their combined jokes were about as funny as a crutch.
Did y'all catch Mrs. Newt's hair? It always looks weird, but tonight was the weirdest (and scariest) hairdo I've ever seen on a public figure in my entire life. It even surpasses the crazy hairdo of the late Phyllis Diller. I don't have the words to describe it.
Boredom of the evening: Fox News' Ed Henry's endless soliloquy obviously ghost-written by the late Torquemada, the Inquisition's head torturer.
Nasty of the evening: Obama's reference to Congresswoman Bachman as a "book-burner".
Nice touch of the evening: The 5 military forces theme songs in a rousing medley by the Marine Corps Band....with vets and actives asked to stand during the playing of their particular branch's song.

Regarding Callista Gingrich's look - that's her usual "helmet-head" hairdo (I've seen it several times in person... it NEVER EVER moves). Callista was caught on camera laughing several times, though, so at least she looked rather human tonight.

I loved that as well... I'm pretty sure that was Ed Henry's (of Fox News) idea. I noticed that several bubble-headed celebrities and other libs in the crowd looked a bit confused though...
