Well that just sucks.
Many years ago, I took Himself to his first ever Highland Games in far western MD.
He immediately started making cracks about the guys in ‘skirts’.
I tried to politely request he cease and desist, to no avail.
We made a bathroom stop and a huge, ruddy, hillbilly Celt caber-tosser came out of the facilities and I whispered to himself, “If you make a skirt joke to him and he beats the Eyetalian sh*t outta you for it, I’m just gonna sit here on this bench and laugh.”
Problem solved.
It’s always unwise to mock a violent-appearing, enormously muscled... uh... gentleman.
I’m glad himself stifled it. [smiles]
