Figures from Eurobarometer, the EUs own polling organization, suggest that anti-Brussels feeling has spread far beyond Britain and is rising in both poor and better-off EU nations. It follows the continuing eurozone economic crisis, which has sent unemployment soaring and led to a string of multi-billion-pound taxpayer-funded bailouts.
Results showed 66 percent of voters in Britain say they tended not to trust the EU as an institution. A majority shared that view in Italy (53 percent), France (56 percent) and Germany (59 percent), while in crisis-hit Spain, the figure has soared to 72 percent.
The findings are understood to have triggered alarm among Brussels bureaucrats because the six countries surveyedthose above plus Polandaccount for 350 million of the EUs 500 million citizens.
The figures were seized upon by campaigners last night as the latest evidence that Euroskepticism is no longer confined to the UK.

The guy in charge of the EU is a “former” Maoist (yes,I said *Maoist*...and he admits to it) named Manuel Barosso.I wonder if he gives a rat's hindquarters what the people of Europe think of him or the organization he leads.

Excellent. Maybe someday in the not too distant future all the D-Marks I have will be worth something again.

Yup, I heard about Barrosos Maoist background some time ago. Good thing for him that the Commission is all appointed, right?
Also, when you have former Soviet dissidents comparing the EU to the USSR (
Vladimir Bukovsky in particular), you know things are headed for trouble. That dictatorship is already half-formed, and they are shooting for a fully-formed one.

Hopefully the EUropeans will dust off some old guillotine and start using it on this bunch of dictators.

If this isn't an example of "bigger is not better", then what is?
The disaster EU has been is only a small preview of what a one-world UN government would be like.
