That’s why I’m a fan of amending how Congress and the Senate operate. For both houses, get rid of being able to vote “present,” and only able to vote yes or no. They wouldn’t have the authority to legislate on moral issues, either. All elected must vote, no abstaining. An overwhelming majority will be required to pass anything, with the concept of a simple majority being done away with. Treaties will be required to pass both houses, with 90% in favor from both houses for it to be approved.

it would not be untrue to say that the Republican Party, in the last 16-years, has done nothing to further its stated goals.

What are the state goals of the Republican Party?

I like it! Now, how do we convince congress?

Tell you the truth, that has all the characteristics of a thinly veiled threat.

“Either give us the power we want...or some very bad things might happen to you.”

Sounds like something the mafia would say.

So I guess alleged supporter of the Second Amendment Manchin would have gone along with anything Obama and Feinstein wanted if they would have gotten it to the Senate floor immediately after Newtown?

“they fully intend to arrange it”

I believe that while they may be instituting these shootings they are fully aware of how to take advantage of them.

In the case of Boston, it was probably Professor Misha, and his assistant, Abdul Alharbi, the slippery Saudi VIP who just HAPPENED to be in the blast zone. Talk about bad luck!

I truly hate him. Honestly, I can’t think of one good thing about him.

Got news for you stupid Dems (Dims?).....the next Newtown is inevitable as long as you keep your silly-ass “gun-free zones” in effect. All they do is let criminals know where no one will shoot back.

Look up "Reichstag fire" if you've never heard of it (but I bet 99% of Freepers know their history well.)
