I sent a letter to my congressman this morning that said two things:
1) If you vote for any immigration reform other than to make Obama enforce the laws already on the books, I will vote against you.
2) If you vote for ANY laws that further bans, limits or requires ANY additional procedures, documentation or checks to purchase a weapon or ammo beyond those already in place, I will vote against you.
I told him I don’t care what hispanics think, what immigrants think or what Democrats think. As for guns, the Second Amendment tells me all I need to know and I don’t need anybody to explain it to me.
Way to go, Gaffer. I did something very similar a few weeks ago when I saw Senators arguing for amnesty on Fox. I sent letters out of state, too. I was surprised when Rand Paul wrote me back, even if it was a form letter trying to justify why he was going to push for it anyway. I just hope this Texan earned a tally mark in the “against” column on his ledger. We need to flood those offices and overwhelm the staff with post cards, letters, emails and calls telling them that immigration the RIGHT way is the only way.
