In PA a permit last for 5 years and it costs only $20 {but that cost may vary by County, I'm not sure of that}.

In Westmoreland County, the current Sheriff as well as the past Sheriff have been very pro 2nd Amendment and have made it very simple to get your carry permit.

You can open carry without a permit, but need a carry permit to conceal your weapon... go figure.

I always carry and most of the time it is concealed, but every once and a while I'll put on a couple of holsters and carry a 357 Magnum in one and a Glock in the other.

I usually do that only to make a visual statement and it always works.

The price is high but the lifetime permit is an improvement...
