And that is exactly how I handled government schools when mine was a kid. I got a Vice Principal fired once because I raised so much heck. Started with her and went straight up the ladder to the top. A month later she was gone.
My daughter got suspended for a week under their ‘rules’. I told her and them that was fine if that was the rule but what followed after was completely unacceptable. I never let teachers/admin, etc. intimidate me. They were no better or smarter in my view and I would tell them so. I also could back it up with a much more rigorous education than they had. They backed up pretty quick when I walked in.

and that is why you are a good parent and why so many parents are awful to their kids.

Just because your kid is on school does not mean you will turn into a liberal , but it does help when the likes of you put the school on notice and take notes ever day on what your child was told

My daughter told me (several years ago) they were going to watch a segment of An Inconvenient Truth in class the next day since her teacher had a doctor appointment that afternoon. I went to the school that morning and asked the teacher what time that would happen so I could sit in and watch too. She was puzzled and said they were just going to do a worksheet after that had questions about the movie. I told her I just wanted to be present to see what they were being shown. I got a call several hours later from my daughter saying they weren't watching the movie and another activity had been planned. They never watched the movie in class. All parents need to do is show up.
