The U.S. Army is directing troops to remove a Bible inscription that a vendor etched into the serial numbers of weapon scopes, Fox News has learned.
Soldiers at Fort Wainwright in Alaska told Fox News they received a directive to turn in their scopes so the Bible references could be removed.
The scopes were made by Trijicom and referenced New Testament passages in John 8:12 and Second Corinthians 4:6. The verses appeared at the end of the scope serial numbers JN8:12 and 2COR4:6.
The biblical verse (JN8:12) must be removed utilizing a Dremel type tool and then painted black, read instructions on how to remedy the matter.
After the letters and numbers were scrapped off, soldiers were directed to use apply black paint to ensure the verses were totally covered.

I’d take a Court Martial over this.
How has Trijicom responded?
I’m thinking of the sniper in Saving Private Ryan and wonder which scriptures he was saying..
did the soldiers remind hteir superior officers that our constitution guaruntees freedom FROM religious persectuion and that the right to freely express religious affiliation shall NOT be infringed?
I spent some bucks to purchase a new port ejection cover on my COLT LE6920. Took some time because the thing is a booger to get off, but it was worth it to me.
Inside the cover, after it has been fired it reads (laser-etched) INFIDEL, in English and Arabic. I’m supremely pleased with it.
Better to fear God than fear man.
I have Trijicon sights on all my pistols that I have night sites on. Even purchased their expensive tool for staking front sights on 1911s. Yesterday, I installed a full Trijicon set on a Springfield Government 1911 milspec I have. Nice. Couple that with a set of MGW rear sight pushers for 1911s, Berettas and Glocks and you’re set...(expensive but worth it).
2 Corinthians 4:6: For God, who said, Let light shine out of darkness, made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of Gods glory displayed in the face of Christ.

Onward Christian Soldiers!
Glad to see that our cash-strapped military has found an important use of its time and money. Muslims everywhere are laughing their arses off at our multicultural idiots.

Bible No...Koran OK!
This regime is trying so hard to follow the European model. Pushing religious beliefs is not PC in Europe.
Both MacArthur and Patton (both scriptural, prepared men)would likely scoff, ridicule, and chastise the hyper PC, idiotic, nitwit who came up with the idea of taking a dremel to the ACOGS. If the American Caesar and Blood-n-guts had their way, they might just make sure the offending REMF finished out any career left manning an Aleutian Island weather station.

Beliefs belong in church, not in Army rifle scopes.
Just put crosses on the end of the bullets.
The US Government has no authority whatsoever to determine if something is religiously correct or not.
