France legalizes gay marriage after harsh debate

PARIS (AP) — French lawmakers have legalized same-sex marriage after months of bruising debate and street protests that brought hundreds of thousands to Paris.

Tuesday's 331-225 vote came in the Socialist majority National Assembly. France's justice minister, Christiane Taubira, said the first weddings could be as soon as June.

Opponents of the law say France is not ready to legalize adoption for same-sex couples, and polls show a France sharply divided on the issue.

Thousands of police mobilized ahead of the vote, preparing for dueling protests around the National Assembly building and along the Seine River. At least one spectator was ejected from the gallery.

There are feminist/radical ecology elements who not only want to eliminate marriage and family, but even want to eliminate sex and gender. Or at least, impair it to the extent that human childbearing largely collapses. They see human population per se as an intractable problem. That's also why they champion contraception, sterilization and abortion: because, like buggery, these things tend to suppress childbearing.

And as far as hormonal contraception goes: the fact that humans who use hormonal contraception release endocrine disruptors into the world water systems, tends to both decrease fertility and increase sex/gender anomalies especially in males.

The antihumanists see this as a win/win.
