Bombing Suspects’ Immigration Story Adds Layer to Debate on Overhaul By TRIP GABRIEL April 20, 2013
WAYNE, Pa. — With the television in her pizzeria showing an endless loop of the Boston manhunt on Friday, Bessie Kontis glanced up at scenes of the quasi-military lockdown and shuddered.
Greg Ricker said the Boston attack had made him less open to immigration. “I think we should just stop letting people in,” he said.

Gary Burnett also favors a path to citizenship and permanent residency. “After something like that happens, they should stop all visas, for crying out loud,” said Ms. Kontis, 58, who owns New Wayne Pizza with her husband, Alex. “It’s insane. It just angers me.”
Ms. Kontis was born in Greece and immigrated to the United States as a child, but when two men of Chechen heritage were identified as the suspects in the fatal Boston Marathon bombings, her usually broad views about immigration became colored by concerns for national security.
“That is who’s coming in,” she said. “We don’t know what kind of people they are. The bottom line is we have to stop being goody-goody Americans.”
As a national debate over major immigration reform begins in Congress, some opponents are pointing to the Boston bombings as cause for concern about expanding visa programs and offering millions of illegal immigrants a path to citizenship.
On Friday, Senator Charles E. Grassley, a senior Iowa Republican on the committee debating the plan, which is proposed by a bipartisan group of eight senators, said the terrorist bombings should figure into the debate.

Low information voters are easily swayed by the liberal media. But every now and then, an event comes along that is so powerful that it overcomes the MSM PC squeals. Which may have been the case with the latest Muslim attack.

People welcome their own destroyers and murderers.
I remember seeing an interview with Mulla Omar where he stated simply that America makes attacks easy.
Why change because in your home town. We are constanly bombarded, by rapes, drunk driving killers and how many other crimes on society daily. They want it to stop because in their backyards. HELLO where have their heads been.

Our problem is overcoming the media and politicians who are owned on both sides and financed by Microsoft, the Koch Bros., immigrant lawyers associations and on and on...big money has bought the GOP who lobby for both GAtes and the Kochs...how do we fight that?

For reasons I will never understand, our current culture displays a weird fascination withe vampires.
You’d think, therefore, that people would remember that a vampire can’t do you any harm until you voluntarily invite him into your home.
This is an aside. Watch the newer vamp movie called “Fright Night” with Collin Farrell, Anton Yeltzyn and Amanda Poots (hot looking), David Tennant.
This will confirm they have to be willingly asked inside, but also shows the consequences of what happens if you do not.
Is Hell freezing over? The NYT is actually writing a story tying the Boston bombing to the immigration debate.
We need to insist on background checks and psychological evaluations for immigrants. That would lose Dim votes.
