I don't understand your point. We already have these things in place. We don't need to add additional laws when everything we have now on the attacks points to an extreme incompetence by our current regime, and law enforcement agencies under it's direction. I will not accept anything that could be abused to invade our privacy, no matter what; especially by those who pretend we built this country on Islamic immigration with their stupid defense of continuing the practice. Muslim immigration is protected before the rights of American citizens by too many politicians.

I understand the Islamic terrorist threat, but I also understand that our biggest threat comes from our tyrannical government that has been replacing Islamic terrorist with patriots. I don't think it's wise to give them additional power, considering it could easily be abused to use against the patriot movement to advance a political agenda. That baseless move was most likely a reason this attack wasn't stopped.

This county, America, was built as a haven for "every infidel of every denomination".

"[When] the [Virginia] bill for establishing religious freedom... was finally passed,... a singular proposition proved that its protection of opinion was meant to be universal. Where the preamble declares that coercion is a departure from the plan of the holy author of our religion, an amendment was proposed, by inserting the word "Jesus Christ," so that it should read "a departure from the plan of Jesus Christ, the holy author of our religion." The insertion was rejected by a great majority, in proof that they meant to comprehend within the mantle of its protection the Jew and the Gentile, the Christian and Mahometan, the Hindoo and infidel of every denomination."

"...who, being themselves but fallible and uninspired men, have assumed dominion over the faith of others, setting up their own opinions and modes of thinking as the only true and infallible, and as such endeavoring to impose them on others, hath established and maintained false religions over the greatest part of the world, and through all time;

...

 that it is time enough for the rightful purposes of civil government, for its officers to interfere when principles break out into overt acts against peace and good order; and finally, that truth is great and will prevail if left to herself, that she is the proper and sufficient antagonist to error, and has nothing to fear from the conflict, unless by human interposition disarmed of her natural weapons, free argument and debate, errors ceasing to be dangerous when it is permitted freely to contradict them. Your assertion, FRiend, was:

That assertion is clearly refuted by the reality of a plethora of resident, American-born, terrorists to whom the border is irrelevant.

Sealing the border will not prevent, or reverse, the ideological subversion of the Jihadist converted -- only TRUTH can do that.
