Grassley: Bombings Call Immigration Reform Into Question

Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley says that the circumstances behind the Boston Marathon bombing should give lawmakers pause when considering comprehensive immigration reform.

“It's important for us to understand the gaps and loopholes in our immigration system,” the Iowa senator said Friday during an immigration reform hearing. “While we don't yet know the immigration status of people who have terrorized the communities in Massachusetts, when we find out it will help shed light on the weaknesses of our system. How can individuals evade authority and plan such attacks on our soil?”

Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, and his brother Dzhokhar, 19, are suspected of planting bombs at the Boston Marathon, killing three and wounding 170. Police killed Tamerlan in an shootout early Friday, and Dzhokhar was captured by police Friday night. The brothers were ethnic Chechens who were born in Kyrgyzstan, and by 2001, the family had moved to Dagestan, which borders Chechnya before being granted asylum in the United States. The younger brother became a U.S. citizen last year.

Grassley said the brothers' immigrant status should be cause for alarm, ABC News reports. "How can we beef up security checks on people who wish to enter the United States?"

Grassley said. "How do we ensure that people who wish to do us harm are not eligible for benefits under the immigration laws, including this new bill before us?"

While federal authorities were pursuing the Tsarnaev brothers Friday, the Senate Judiciary Committee was holding its first full hearing on immigration reform. Earlier this week, the bipartisan “Gang of Eight” senators unveiled a proposal that included added border-security rules and new citizenship eligibility for immigrants who came in illegally.

I would think that this phony 'bi-partisan' attempt at created more uneducated sheep for the Democrat pens would be scrapped and something with teeth in it should take its place. NO MORE IMMIGRANTS. Especially the unwashed masses from Mexico who no doubt disguise Islamics in their ranks. And no more students from Muslim nations.

It shouldn't have taken these bombings to awaken the worthless politicians to the fact that our nation DOES NOT protect Americans. They stand idly by while the central socialist government lards up the population with misfits from other nations who are pleased to see the dregs of their societies skimmed off and whisked away to America. They're like children watching mindless television as they see the nation destroyed by porous borders allowing the seepage of trespassers from the south with their TB, lice and bedbugs bring these gifts to this once great nation.

Then there's the Frankenstein monster that the idiot class of America voter has re-elected in order that he finish his job of finishing off America. How anyone could see intelligence and poise in a stumbling, bumbling marxist idiot should escape anyone still in control of their thought processes escapes me. Really? Where’s Michelle’s BURKA? In how many Muslim families does the woman carry the clout that Michelle obviously does. Does Obama fall on his face on his prayer rug and pray towards Mecca 5 times a day? Where’s his beard??? And on and on and on.

Why is Obama for gay marriage and abortion on demand? Why do people like Biance infest his entertainment scene?

His Christianity is a radicalized, Black- powered version. It is leftist and anti-American. It’s not hard to identify what it consists of. Of course it isn’t true Christianity. It’s an invented, politicized version.

Obama is a Muslim sympathizer. That does not make him an actual practicing Muslim. He is a sympathizer because of his personal background, and because he is a radical in sympathy with certain radical caused of many stripes, of which militant Islam is one.

Obama is power hungry and wants above all to turn America inside out and upside down. He wants to loot resources from whomever and whereever he can get them and redistribute them to his pet people and pet causes.

Obama hates the Founders and principles of America. Hates the Constitution. Because he wants the power in his own hands that the Constitution denies him.

Obama is terrible enough without the accusation that he is a Muslim. And that accusation doesn’t stand scrutiny.

It is very, very simple and easy to nail Obama as a Muslim SYMPATHIZER.

We need so much more of this. There are so many Republicans and otherwise conservative pundits who are pro-illegal alien or silent on the issue that I think most people don’t even know it is going on.

This amnesty has to be defeated or I fear that our country will be lost irretrievably.

Don’t let the Chechen terrorists be a distraction. Although they themselves were here legally, they cut to the core of the illegal alien amnesty issue.

As with gun control, we need to enforce the laws on the books, make it easy to deport criminals, make it hard to come illegally, track non-citizens who are here and keep a bright line distinction between citizens and those who are not.

What we need is an entirely new government.

The progressive, homosexual baby killers need to be dragged out of their offices by the heels and tossed into the Potomac.

Voting rights? What a ridiculous term when applied to the vast, unwashed, lazy American who doesn’t even know who the first president of the United States was, let alone what the Constitution and the Bill of Rights guaranteed.

A poll tax. No.

Property ownership should determine voter eligibility. And, if it were possible, an IQ test.

The only way this nation can survive is to have a complete takeover by the religious right and the re-institution of laws that actually punish evil doers.
