Considering the cost of appeals over the next 20 plus years, to just incarcerate him would be cheaper. I don't see how they can possibly stretch appeals out that far, when they executed McVeigh so fast. Perhaps Holder and Obama can stretch it til the end of Zero's term, but the next administration is going to be pressured like nobody's business to get the job done.
Same with Hasan.
