IF there is such widespread support, why doesn’t he go the whole hog and began a campaign to either change or repeal the 2nd amendment through the correct route?
As we all know, that worked so well getting the Equal Rights Amendment passed.

Heh---good one. Deserves a repeat with more eyes.
And as one wit posted---"BO's not a duck---he's just lame."
ROTFL.

BO'd make a bad screen actor--he only knows two emotions:(1) gloating in victory, and, (2) a temper-throwing meanie in defeat.
He expects victory?
When he's used the office of the presidency--not to unite as he promised---but to tar gun owners and their supporters as redneck clingers who hate women and the poor so much they might even take them out---if they don't get checked by Congress.
No one deserved this defeat more than BO.

Its obviously, on its face, a flat out lieI think you nailed it already....... it's likely one of those lies that they hope will be repeated enough to "become true".......

” An attack on Boston is an attack on Neo Europa central. Two deaths on the streets of boston trump a hundred deaths in the wasteland of Texas.
The attack on the non americans in boston is a terrible tragedy. The death of real Americansin Texas stands for naught.”
NAILED it.

The 90% number was made up out of thin air and now all sorts of people are quoting it like it came down from Mount Sinai on stone tablets. 98% of statistics are made up - how can people be so stupid to not see that?

To them, their claimed 90% is like the claims of the Global Warming Scam that the science is settled. You're right. Junk science. If they wanted a 99.99% approval they could have asked "Do you think innocent children should be shot with a gun?" All of us would say "NO".
The press is under the impression there are people FOR killing Children and people AGAINST killing children. THEY ARE WRONG. All of us are against children being murdered. Some of us feel creating gun free zones that attract killers is dangerous for kids. We think liberals endanger children because they're wedded to a unicorn world...

Given that the first paragraph is full of half-truths and outright lies, is the article really worth reading?

[Article]
If only he could tear up the Constitution and rule by diktat he might save himself a little disappointment. Alas, American democracy is a stickler for rules. Has this writer been paying attention?
To: bert
An attack on Boston is an attack on Neo Europa central. Correct. A Boston sportswriter was videotaped on network news last night saying "Boston is the cradle of liberty and the center of the universe". They have a special sense of their specialness.
They need to be in their own country. Elect me emperor, and they will be. They and downstate New York and the rest of New England, so they can go on being special together.
To: GOPJ
You're right. Junk science. And push polls, pushed by politically-obsessed media personalities like Larry O'Donnell and his ilk.

A remarkably balanced article.
Well, he is completely wrong about the "90%" support, but given the tone of the piece I think that might be the results of an 'editor' hanging their own headline on the piece.
Whatever your position on gun control, yesterdays events are a damning indictment of Obamas presidency a flash of style, lots of soaring rhetoric and, when the votes are actually counted, little show for any of it. America has four more years of this lame-duck president telling them that it has let him down. If only he could tear up the Constitution and rule by diktat he might save himself a little disappointment. Alas, American democracy is a stickler for rules. Maybe 4 more years....maybe not.
