Authorities circulate photos of two men spotted carrying bags near site of Boston bombings

Cops are seeking these two men (above) who were spotted near the site of the Boston blasts. Investigators probing the deadly Boston Marathon bombings are circulating photos of two men spotted chatting near the packed finish line, The Post has learned.

In the photos being distributed by law-enforcement officials among themselves, one of the men is carrying a blue duffel bag. The other is wearing a black backpack in the first photo, taken at 10:53 a.m., but it is not visible in the second, taken at 12:30 p.m.

“The attached photos are being circulated in an attempt to identify the individuals highlighted therein,” said an e-mail obtained by The Post. “Feel free to pass this around to any of your fellow agents elsewhere.”

No they don’t look Mexican at all, that is defiantly Arab not mestizo. The general shape of the head is wrong.

LEO is saying they have video at the second blast site from Lord & Taylor across the street of a guy dropping the bag and walking on. I'd bet the same technique was used at the first blast site, a guy walked by, dropped the bag in the middle of the sidewalk and walked on.

It seems to me the best leads are that video and the Saudi student Obama wants to deport. From what I understand, the Saudi student was tackled by a bystander. I'd like to know what the bystander saw that caused him to tackle the Saudi student - had he see him drop a bag on the sidewalk?

The pock mark you see on the ground is almost certainly the bomb location.. Any residual smoke cluster you see is a result of areas affected by the outburst of the bomb. Smoke would appear around the perimeter of the bomb, not just at the bomb's location.

I do see something which might be on the ground behind the guy on the right in the 'before blast' photo of the two guys. What's odd about guy on left is his shirt has white logo on front which does not appear in any other photos of him.

This is another 'after blast' photo.. Something to think about.. The 'white hat' brigade:

What pock mark are you referring to? I don’t think the bomb could have been as close to the building as marked in that photo, because people standing next to the building would not have still been standing after the blast as we see in the series of after-blast photos taken from the window.

If you mean the black smear marked as the bomb location on the photo, that cannot possibly be the location of the bomb, because if you cross-reference that exact spot to the series of photos taken by the window, you will see two people who take cover on that very spot who then get up and walk away.

This photo is so early in reference to the time of the bombing. If the bomb was placed out in the middle of the sidewalk, and at the time there wasn’t a big crowd standing on the sidewalk (as we see in the photo of those two guys), then the bomb was likely not there long before it was detonated. Otherwise, they risked someone seeing the bag lying by itself unattended and moving it. It’s possible the bombers were hanging around as early as this photo, but it just seems unlikely.
