Sarah Weddington began her abortion crusade because she had to go to Mexico to get her abortion. The whole pro-choice movement was caused by repressed rage against the comfortable life they enjoyed growing up middle-class families. They hated themselves because they had no personal reason to feel oppressed untill they had to get an abortion.
They did research on what percentage of women could be easily talked into an abortion.
They found that 10% would get an abortion regardless of whether it was legal or not.
Ninety percent hesitated and had to be talked into having an abortion, so they devised tactics to make that 90% comply.
The center I worked at concentrated on that 90% who "had to be talked into an abortion," and we helped them to bring their baby into the world.
My point is that most women are essentially horse-collared into getting the procedure through a sales job and intimidation at a time when a woman should not make any huge decisions.
The Sarah Weddington's of the world are part of that 10% who would get an abortion no matter what.
Which leaves the vast 90% at the mercy of men like Kermitt Gosnell.
I have searched the Guttmacher website for their research about the 10%-90% and there is no trace of it.
