My senator Richard Burr is voting against it. I asked if my call was somehow logged and she stated that they are keeping track of the number of calls they are getting requesting he votes no.
So I guess my call was one.

As a Senator he/she can be reached via email and phone by any American in any state, unlike the block from emailing other Reps outside your district.

Call Toomey and tell him you’re initiating a primary challenge against him for sleeping with the enemy.

This, from Kay Hagan, D, NC:::::::::
Sen. Kay Hagan (D-NC), a closely watched Democrat facing reelection in 2014, said Monday she will support the Manchin-Toomey compromise legislation to expand background checks.
......Hagan said in a statement sent to TPM by her office. "I am looking at each proposal to ensure it is common sense, will be effective and will not infringe on Second Amendment rights. This plan represents a commonsense solution reached by two of my colleagues -- one a Democrat, one a Republican -- and I plan to support the bipartisan proposal.
"It respects law-abiding North Carolina gun owners by exempting transfers between family members and friends, allowing concealed carry permits issued within the last five years to serve in lieu of a background check, and explicitly banning the federal government from creating a registry."
"I am concerned that amendments banning assault weapons and high capacity magazines could infringe on the rights of lawful gun owners, and I will not support such measures."
Am I missing something here or is she just flat out lying???

True. We've seen the same thing from the sodomite agenda. If the people pass props opposing them, they go to court. If the court strikes them down, they push for another vote, or go to another court. They judge-shop and get judges who are sympathetic to them. They never stop until they get their way, then they start castigating the right for not "letting it go" and opposing the "will of the people". Like they've done with obamacare. They never never stop until they've gotten their way. They live for activism, unlike most on the right who have families to support.

I tried calling the number, but got the “All circuits are busy” intercept. I was able to reach one senator’s office (Murkowski) on the NRA-provided number I have, but could not reach our DemonRat senator, but I’ll keep trying.

Go to the Gun Owners of Americas Legislative Alerts and Updates Page to send a message that automatically goes to your correct Government representative.
http://www.capwiz.com/gunowners/issues/?style=D
Click on the most recent Alert link.
Right now its The Battle Will Take Longer than Wed Hoped.
This will take you to a page with a pre-written email. Just put in your personal info and the page will figure out which Senator or Representative to send it to. If you leave Remember Me! checked you will only have to fill it in once. Then you can return and send it quickly multiple times a day.

I would get a new doctor.

And let us hope the events in Boston kill this rancid immigration bill too.
To: EXCH54FE
There was no “Toomey-Manchin-Schumer sell-out.” There was the Schumer bill, and the Manchin-Toomey bill has killed it and committed obviously scheduled suicide. ;-)
But your Cruz-Grassley Republican bill against the Second Amendment—the bill without a cause—is comin’ right up with some more class warfare gun control and big government spending.

I feel your pain. It only took two years for Toomey and Rubio to go bad. How long will Cruz, Lee, and Paul last? Yeah. Toomey amend is dead and so is his career.
