Either we have a former elected official in Texas assassinating another elected official and ADA (Assistant District Attorney) or we have have a conspiracy to frame a former elected official for murder.Very good point.

While there may be a few civil wars brewing in the US, an assassination of an elected DA by an elected JP of the same county and party is not one of them.
