So far, the police have made five arrests on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly or for inflicting grievous bodily harm.

Meanwhile, results from an opinion poll released tonight suggest that more than half of voters believe Thatcher's ceremonial funeral should not be funded by taxpayers' money.

A survey by market research agency ComRes found that 25 per cent of people thought the funeral should be paid for out of public funds while 60 per cent were opposed.

Around 1,700 protesters in a rainy Trafalgar Square. Minor skirmish with police already at the base of Nelson's Column when police attempted to close down and remove a small sound system being run by protestors. Angry screams of vintage anti-police chants accusing them of being "maggie's fascists". Drummers competing with police helicopter. Pubs around the square packed with protesters avoiding the rain.

Does it seem like every time a conservative icon dies, liberals celebrate in their own way by, well, just being liberals? Making fools of themselves, causing public disturbances, and general disrespect for the dead? I still remember their glee and overall disgusting behavior following the death of Andrew Breitbart. When Jerry Falwell died, someone who had done nothing more than preach God’s word and morality, they showed who they were by their uncontrolled giddiness over it.

The UK, once a great nation, has been destroyed by an entitlement culture in which deadbeats and layabouts live off the dwindling numbers of productive citizens. And at the top a godless, homosexual-ridden PC elite commands the BBC, most major media, the courts and the entire educational system. Freedom of speech and religion are gone, probably forever. Rounding out the picture of permanent decline, tens of thousands of Muslim immigrants impose Sharia law in their communities and bray their calls for murder and mayhem in the streets of the UK’s decaying cities. I'll never go back there. A culture in self destruction. It has started here. But Obama won't remain in power forever and there is more resistance here than there, where a long tradition of being told how to think by their betters has turned the people into ONETHINK sheep. So sad.
