In my granddaughters Catholic 11th grade history class they were told by a black teacher the reason the White House is painted white is because of all the white people in America, I thought it was painted that color after the war of 1812 when the Brits set it on fire, but my daughter said it was painted white because the sandstone it’s made of was eroding.
