Ban On Homophobic Teacher Upheld The High Court has upheld a classroom ban on a Christian school teacher who condemned the "homosexual lifestyle" in front of pupils.

In what is believed to be the first case of its kind, a judge rejected an appeal by science teacher Robert Haye against the decision to ban him indefinitely - a decision he says is likely to end his teaching career. Mr Haye told a Year 11 class of students aged 15-16 that the way homosexual people lived was "disgusting" and a sin, according to the Bible.
He also told Year 9 pupils aged 13-14 on another occasion that "anyone who worships on Sunday is basically worshipping the devil". Mr Haye, 43, and his family belong to the Seventh-day Adventist Church, which observes Saturday as the Sabbath. Following his February 2010 comments at Deptford Green School in Lewisham, south-east London, a teaching assistant complained and triggered an investigation.
He was also prohibited from teaching at any school or sixth form college last July after the Education Secretary backed a decision of regulatory body The Teaching Agency recommending the ban.
Mr Justice King rejected his appeal at London's High Court, saying the ban was justified because Mr Haye had shown lack of insight when he made his "inappropriate" comments and was found guilty of unacceptable professional conduct. Mr Haye can apply to return to the classroom after two years. But he said after his High Court defeat he thought his teaching career in the UK was over because he was not prepared to give up his religious beliefs - and the right to express them - in order to teach again.

According to recent articles posted right here on FR, the public schools in Texas are as bad as they are anywhere else in the U.S.
The “public school” is the Bus Ministry of the State Church of Humanism.
The “public school”, including the “charter school”, is BY FAR, the largest, most expensive, most subversive, and most destructive entitlement program in the country.
The “public school” is better understood as the “government school collective”.
It is silly to imagine that you can fix the public schools, because the very concept itself is collectivist.
It is hypocritical to submit your children to an authority with whom you fundamentally disagree. Children do not trust hypocrites, so this will undermine your own authority, let alone influence, with your children.
Any child that comes out of the government school collective with their moral compass and common sense intact does so in spite of the government school indoctrination, not because of it.

If you want to win the culture war, have lots of children (see my tagline) and homeschool them or form your own school cooperative with your church or synagogue and like-minded friends and relatives.
Nobody loves your children more than you do.
Nobody can teach your children better than you can.
Nobody knows your children better than you do.
Your children would love nothing better than to be taught by you, if you start doing so before they are corrupted by the government school collective.
If you have children, make whatever sacrifices you must to get them out of the public schools.
DO NOT FEED THE BEAST!
Especially not with your own children.
And DO NOT TAKE GOVERNMENT “EDUCATION” MONEY!

It will soon be illegal to be a Christian, not only in Great Britain, but in America as well. This is another reason, among several reasons, why I am leaving the country, some time this year. Color me gone.

We have to stop letting the left control the language of the debate. If you support traditional marriage, you are “homophobioc” and “you need to evolve on this issue.” We need to employ the same tactics. We need to refer to these people as “Pro-sodomites.” We have to stop referring to people as “Pro Choice” and describe them instead as “Anti-Life.” We should never use the term “Undocumented Immigrants”, and instead, insist on calling these people ILLEGAL ALIENS. Calling them “Undocumented Immigrants” is like calling shop lifting an “Undocumentd Purchase.” We have to stop calling people on the left “activists”, and instead, call them “extremists.” As Rush Limbaugh has always said, “words mean things.”
