The city of New Rochelle, N.Y., has removed the historic Gadsden Dont Tread On Me flag from a military armory, deeming the flag too partisan because it often is used by the tea party movement.
And in response, veterans groups have tapped the Thomas More Law Center to take up the fight.
It was after an official ceremony on March 21 at the New Rochelle Armory that a new American flag was unfurled to replace the previous weathered flag that flew at the location. Beneath the new American flag, the yellow Gadsden Flag was flown, as is common tradition on many military sites.
However, within a week of the ceremony, City Manager Chuck Strome ordered the Gadsden flag be taken down because of unidentified complaints that the flag was a symbol of the tea party movement.
Peter Parente, president of the United Veterans Memorial and Patriotic Association of New Rochelle, sent Strome links to the history of the flag so he decided to allow it to remain.
But the city council then stepped in, voting 5-2 to order the flag to be removed.
The five members who voted to uphold its removal were Democrats, while the two voting to reinstate the flag were Republicans.
That same day, the public works department removed the flag.
Now the flag fight is headed to court.

“And, THAT, my FReinds, is why America is declining.”
America is declining in some areas of the country because conservatives are too lazy to get off their fat butts and show up at these council meetings. Pack a council meeting with 200-300 angry vets and read them the riot act. Watch how fast these wimpy leftists cave.

Stalin apparently liked the older press photo and had it retouched after Yezhov's execution.

Wimpy leftists aren't the ones caving. If they felt the need they wouldn't hesitate to call the state police to disperse the angry crowd...and yes it has happened. Liberals never bend, never compromise and never back down. They can only be beaten. We are in the situation we are in because of incremental ism and we can take it back the same way. We need to open as many fronts as possible and make it impossible for them to defend liberalism.

I fly the “Bennington” flag and I’m offended that the dem’s did not ban that as well.

“Liberals never bend, never compromise and never back down.”
In my community, we’ve fired two police chiefs and have thrown two city managers in prison. We pack the council meeting with veterans. We also organize recall elections and have thrown dozens of commies out of office in the past two decades. If people are afraid to confront commie snakes in government, they deserve every misery possible.
If the state police tried any crap, they’d be thrown out of the county by our constitutional sheriff. Of course the state police would never try that because the state police commander for our district is one of us.
Get involved to protect freedom. Sit on your a$$ and become a slave.

It reminds them that they and their ideology do indeed TREAD ON PEOPLE,
and this offends their sense of “I’m a good person”.
Same “offense” occurs when you try to get them to admit that everything they want to do through the government is done with the inherent threat of deadly force for non-compliance.

In a way, this truly defines what "partisan" has become. We the People, are the colonial Americans who flew the Gadsden Flag in battle against European oppression. The Democrats and RINO's have defined themselves as the European oppressors we battle against. It makes sense that they find the Gadsden Flag offensive; I'm confident King George III was rather offended as well.

For my birthday, my son (ever relevant with his finger on my pulse) bought me two new patches for my leather vest.
One is simple, round and says "Vietnam Vet."
The other is a Gadsden Flag.
Think I'll have it sewn on. Today.
