One would naturally think it impossible that anyone would hesitate – even for an instant – to honor the woman who tackled communism head on as prime minister of Great Britain. Lady Margaret Thatcher was a principled politician who helped to foster the special relationship between Great Britain and the United States that we all benefit from today.
A Senate resolution to honor Lady Thatcher was supposed to pass last night. However, per well placed sources on the Hill, Democrats have a hold on the resolution.
To refuse to honor a woman of such great historical and political significance, who was deeply loyal to the United States, is petty and shameful.

She personally worked hard to destroy several UK government nationalized vital industry unions, fought off vicious terrorists, and was extremely effective in advocating for peace on the entire Earth during the long, hard years of the western alliance Cold War, against the USSR. Read a few comments on various British news websites. It explains why many of our USA ancestors voluntarily signed up for indentured servitude, and/or risked their lives to travel to the New World. Thatcher was really their last real opportunity for any slim chance of survival as a nation. Not only did the UK squander it, the people over there still celebrate their insanity! We can blame it on Mad Cow disease, or just accept they are all hopelessly mentally deranged.

If you were a liberal:
Would you want to praise someone who proved your ideas are wrong?
Would you want to remind people what a person with morals looks like?
Would you want people reminded what a leader and not a useful idiot looks like?
Would you want her views on socialism, the EU, government which were dead on right, brought to light?
They don’t want to honor her for the same reason brides pick ugly dresses for bridesmaids, they don’t want to be compared.
