A partial orbital EMP is more dangerous and possible than folks are being led to believe.
“You were intentionally listening to Geraldo. Did you lose a bet?”
LOL. Actually he was VERY GOOD on the radio - a lot of Rush qualities, where he treated everyone really kind and polite, let his opponents talk, and then stated what he believed - and in that interview, it was with John Bolton, so at the end, he simply said that we see different and must agree to disagree.
Very, very, rare for a leftist to behave that way - usually they are so filled with PURE HATE that they cannot help themselves, but Geraldo, I guess, reserved his hatred for the evil defense contractors - not his guests or callers.
That’s a big concern of mine. If we lost 5000 soldiers in a day, what would that do to the media? the politicians? the voters? the top military brass? Once upon a time we took that and moved on — we understood the cost of war. Today? I think we’d fall apart.
“Their missiles are aimed at Texas! Hah!”
Austin...a Blue City. And his missiles are VERY ACCURATE, so if he really aims at Austin, he will take it out...and most of Texas is sick to death of that bunch anyway.
Don’t know if we can fight...but it’s hard to tell what kind of war we will be in. It’s hard to see a war of ground battles...but then we thought ground battles were over at the end of WW2 (LOL).
Important note: liquid fuel is both extremely toxic and corrosive, so if not used immediately by the missile must be pumped back out within a day or two. Even then, it can only be pumped in a limited number of times before the tanks are effectively degraded.
Those who pump the fuel in or out have to wear close to spacesuits to do it, and even the slightest spark could be disastrous, to no conductive tools are permitted around the missile or fuel.
With NKor missiles, fueling them almost certainly means they are going to be launched.
Don’t worry Hagel sternly told them they were being bad. No launch will happen and they are going to disarm their nukes.
Most believe they do not have the range for east of HI.
Lil Kim has already given “intent” to strike. Normal ROE would provide for an attack once we receive indications and warnings (I&W). Once we receive I&W, we should strike the active launchers and broadcast our intent to continue strikes unless they stand down.
BUT.....what if their satellite in LEO, is a nuke and is triggered at 300NM over D.C. and NY in the 17?

I’m as non-interventionist as can be, but I’m wondering why no one suggests taking out this nutjob with a few dozen Tomahawks (after notifying the Chicoms). Is there a downside to that? Is it not feasible? Nutjobs can run Uganda, but not have nukes and threaten our homeland. Bedouin warlords have been droned for less.
The Russians (and probably the Chinese) came to realize MAD (mutual assured destruction) was not a real worry. Nuclear war is survivable. withe dollar in decline, American markets for cheap crap not what it used to be, what do they have to lose?
I’m not making a prediction but this could go very badly for us.
Or not...
Hey, I live right near DC and I back your triple dog dare. At this point,, a direct hit on DC might just be the best thing for America.
At least one Freeper lives near Austin...
By no means am I a war monger. Quite the opposite. I believe when diplomacy degrades to war you destroy your enemy. We need to do that as quickly and as inexpensively as possible. However, greenmail is not diplomacy. And when it comes to terrorists there is no diplomacy. Just shows how much evil there is in the world. Minus Islam and fanatics from North Korea, we can have diplomacy with nations like Canada to solve each other's problems.

Yipe...good luck. A bunch of Americans are about to get fried thanks to the Dems and the Republicans that refused to stand up to them...hopefully not any FReepers.
lol
terrible reaction?
lol
AT BEST
we will shoot down the missile and send them a stern warning letter!
You forget the homo we have in the whitehouse.
I don’t know if it’s still true, but in the 1990s, the Cubans and the Norks were very friendly. I can remember following a NORK diplo vehicle in my Ford Explorer on Fifth Avenue in Havana and pretending I was flying an F-16, and destroying the enemy aircraft.
will the USA shoot it down?
Anybody heard?
I imagine China told Kim he is on his own.
