The liberal media must think that conservatives will be shocked by this or something. They do love the false notion of precedent equaling justification . . .

it might not be framed properly either.
dealers at gun shows will do background checks. private sellers don’t. he may have just meant he was for what was being done currently.
either way it’s only his opinion, not the constitution.

500 commie ‘RAT piggies could get up on the Capitol Hill steps and sing, “We support the ‘assault weapons’ ban”, in unison and the toads in the state controlled “media” wouldn’t pay them any attention. Let one Republican say it and it’s all over the place and is the biggest thing since sliced bread. The GOOBers really need to learn to shut up.

Not hard to believe, I actually got a lot of flak here when I expressed my anger over W's remark that he would sign an AWB if it was sent to him. I was told that he was just saying that for effect.
I actually talked to Jeb Bush on the phone back around 1990 and Jeb wasn't really very clear about what the 2nd amendment actually means. They don't seem to have a deeply held principle demanding that they defend it.
Poppa Bush and Momma Bush are typical New England elitists, not much interested at all.
One of these days I'll write out the story of how I came to get that phone call from Jeb, and how I watched my back for months wondering if I was marked for death, LOL

He can support whatever he wants, but he is a private citizen again. He isn't in office, and isn't facing reelection, much less a primary challenge.
If he lures the RINOs out on the issue, that just means they'll get called on it next time.

Yeah, but the media and the Democrats (but I repeat myself) told us for eight years that George W. Bush was a complete moron who knew absolutely nothing about governing.
Now they want us to think he was CORRECT???
Ha.
To: OKRA2012
Why wouldn’t we believe it? George W and his Dad did a lot to stomp on conservatism. Now Jeb Bush thinks he’s going to get a chance to carry on the mission.

"Dont believe it?"Who ever accused Bush #43 of being a conservative? I certainly didn't. He might have been more conservative than Gore or Kerry, but that didn't make him into a conservative.

Don't fall for the media's doings to get us sidetracked. We had no one else to vote for. We all were disgusted with John Kerry ( due to his solidarity to the enemies of our nation as today) and also the guy who held the nation hostage for chads to be recounted by party operatives and alike was no figure that we could admire. Yes, Bush caused us problems for not being conservative by following Rove’s manual. (so we have good reasons to distrust Rove and ro be upset with both Bushes). Now, we have to stay on top of what's here and fire the liberal republicans if they will not represent us.

I’m not surprised. George is part of the NWO crowd.
