No, Big Tim Sullivan was the New York Tamminy Hall organized crime boss that got the law passed. He was concerned that new immigrants were not so willing to pay protection money, and his boys were getting shot.

So he engineered the law that bears his name, where the corrupt New York City machine could decide who could legally have pistols, and who could not.

It escalated from there.

[[But Hamburg attorney Jim Tresmond says his client was notified by letter that his gun permit was suspended upon the recommendation of State Police, who learned the man is on anti-anxiety medication. ]]

Wherei n the consitution does it say soemoen on anti-anxiety medications is unfit to own a gun? Who determiend that he was unfit? What was their diagnosis? Was he under hteir care long enough for them to make that determination? What signs did he exhibit that warrented such a drastic action against him?

IF he miraculously wins this case- I hope to hell he sues the CRAP out of those who confiscated his guns-

Criminals will have taken note that the man is now unarmed.

I wonder how long it will take before they come knocking.

Some day aspirin and Tylenol will be considered anti-anxiety medication.

Are you kidding? That can get them shot! They’d much rather go after this guy sitting peacefully in his house.

"And they took his guns away” No, he gave them up.

And what if he hadn't given them up and made a stand? Would you have shown up to help? Or would you have sat back and watched it on TV?

Don't take my post personally. I'm just illustrating a point.

No, he gave them up.

Under bad legal advice from a lawyer with bigger fish to fry (his case against the State of NY). It's going to be a lot harder to get the guns back now that the police have their hands on them.

It’s not a binary thing, there are more choices than either 1) hand over the guns or 2) be shot by a SWAT team. His attorney could have taken custody of the firearms and arranged for safe storage while the case settles, but for some reason the lawyer thinks it’s OK to let the Police hold them. I’m not sure I’d have gone the route they did. Maybe he couldn’t take custody, even though he’s an officer of the court.

Feinstein has already set up virtually every veteran for this same treatment.

Great! So they started with the street gangs, taking their guns first?

They do not want to be called racists, so this will never happen. The gang bangers will be allowed to keep their weapons. And people wonder why I plan on becoming an expat. The psychopaths are running the asylum.

Registration even through so called background checks (that are supposed to be erased after 3 days but are forever in the computer) = confiscation. How many boys are forced to take Ritalin by the central controlled education system? Guess what they can’t own a gun. See where this goes?

I'm not sure what the legal procedures are for the transfer of seven handguns in New York.

I'm pretty sure it isn't as simple as it is in North Dakota...

Welcome to the New World Order, soon they will start rounding up those who oppose them and send them to re-education camps, how did that work out for the Jews in NAZI Germany?

So that’s it... because some bureaucrat went snooping into this guy’s mental health record and found he’s on an anti-anxiety drug, his 2nd Amendment rights are forfeit.

And the libs try to give these false assurances gun registration doesn’t lead to confiscation. NYers, does he have any options, or are his weapons forever gone?

Oh, I agree with you it's a conumdrum.

The authorities are picking around the edges, the relatively low-hanging fruit where a mass protest would probably not occur.

The same thing wouldn't happen in Wyoming, Texas, or Utah.

But I think at some point they will go too far, and a fire may start. It's mighty dry tinder in a lot of places.

“Confiscation will not be done, en mass, with armored police raids. It will be done this way, over a generation or two, as registration requirements are tightened and reasons to own guns restricted. Little by little, a bit at a time, until gun owners are few and politically weak.”

The local sheriff here is giving speeches before women’s groups, urging them to buy weapons and learn how to use them.

Basic physics: For every action there is an opposite and equal reaction.
