SK military speculates that NK may fire as many as 10 missiles. If so, they probably fire variety of missiles: Musudan, KN-08, Rodong and what else. That will be a firework rather than missile test launch, if it happens.

In a sensible world, we would have already acted, decisively, and announced “Pre-emptive strike? Yeah. We know what those are.”

North Korea 'finishes missile launch preparations

That was quick.

This is a liquid fueled rocket. It takes time to fuel up and the process is detectable from space. US authorities know what is going on.

It is rare to empty these birds once they have been fueled up. Looks like some fireworks ahead this week.

Here is one of the worst case scenarios for Kim Jong-eun: 1) fires missiles, and Japan shoot them down. 2) conducts the 4th nuclear test and it goes wrong(fizzle, radiation leak, or triggering unexpected earthquake in Sino-NK border area,) 3) the restarted graphite nuclear reactor breaks down(catch fire, or serious structural problem,) and all of them occur in this April.

This article says possibly tomorrow. Also, that if it goes over open water, the US will not shoot it down. But, the timing may still be speculation.

Trident sub Officer of the Deck on 1MC: "Captain and E.O. report to Con immediately. Incoming flash traffic received"

Captain authorizes openening safe for message codes authenticity. EO, Comms officer and Officer of the Deck agree that message is authentic. Captain agrees that message is authentic.

Captain authorizes OOD to sound General Quarters. "General Quarters, general quarters. This is not a drill. I repeat this is not a drill. All hands report to your general quarters stations."

Weapons/Con, prepare strike package 1 Jung Fatboy. Say again, prepare strike package 1 Jung Fatboy. Spin up tubes 1 through 13.
Con/weapons, spin up tubes 1 through 13, aye. Time to launch 15 minutes on my mark.
Weps/Con 15 minutes, aye.
Weapons/Con, you have authorization to retrieve launch key from safe. Captain has his key.

Captain, "Chief of the boat, takes us to launch depth."
Chief of the Boat, "Launch depth, aye Captain."

Officer of the Deck. "Captain and Weps have launch keys and authorization under CIC orders and Navy regulations to "glass the f*cks".

Tick...tick...tick...tick...

Or something like that.

This will be an intel coup for China and Russia.

NK does their test launch, we respond as though it was a hostile launch and use AEGIS, SM, COBRA JUDY, Patriot, and lots of other goodies. We shoot down the missile. B2 and F22 fly around.

China and Russia get all of our radar signatures and frequencies, a look at CONOPS, an assessment of capabilities, plus pictures of our hardware in use and track data. Plus lots of unencrypted radio chatter, facebook pictures from cell phones, and twitter postings (Guess what I did today?)

Obama looks like a hero, and NK promises to retaliate.

Expect the 479 S Korean managers to be “expelled” tomorrow. The 4 Chinese managers will stay on with maintenance crews for the annual spring cleanup.

The 53,000 NK workers and their 100,000 family members will be quite busy doing spring planting.

The SK workers posed a major security risk for the NK Second Army Corps.

Sat photos show that all four army corps reserves mobilized for combat exercises over the past few months have turned in their weapons to their local Ministry of People’s Safety on 1, April and went back to work gathering fertilizer for spring planting.

Worker and Peasant Red Guards have to grow their own food. Sat photos show they did not carry weapons and backpacks in the fields or in the streets after 1, April as they are required when mobilized about 1, February. Now they are all carrying shovels and hoes.

When mobilized, the Guards relocate to caves and tunnels in the mountains, and now they have gone back to garrison.

Remember, the DPRK are absolute experts at incitement and propaganda. The S Koreans often deliver translations of NK statements that are not accurate.

NK statements always have a backdoor way out that lets them walk backward from hardline statements. That rarely comes through the SK translations.

Posters about self defense have been replaced with posters about the economy.

American special political constituents and leaders of the ‘80s, ‘90s and present time hated the generations of our parents and grandparents and displayed a hysterical and illogical fear of the unlikely possibility nuclear exchange resulting from international relations of the ‘40s, ‘50s and ‘60s.

The same political constituents and leaders have no problem with the much increased likelihoods of nuclear exchanges that they’ve brought to us, as they use questionable tactics in efforts to distract from such concerns. They’re more worried about freight fuel prices than the continued survival of our countries.

Probably 24 hours, give or take a little time, and counting from there, according to Pyongyang’s comments to foreign diplomats. As it is shortly before 2:00 pm (14:00 hours) Mountain Time on April 9 now in the USA, it’s shortly before 5:00 am (5:00 hours) Seoul time on April 10. Tomorrow or after, sometime. Could be as early as shortly after midnight, tonight in Seoul, perhaps?
