No one could possibly guess it from the TV talk or coverage by the daily press corps, but the Republican Party stands today at the threshold of historic political victories. The forces pushing things in this direction are so strong that the permanent campaign of Barack Obama, the public sector unions and the like can't prevail against them. The liberals this time are on the wrong side of history, and there is little they can do on their own to change the almost certain downfall that awaits them. However, nothing in politics is absolutely certain, and there is an X factor in the equation that could keep the GOP from a victorious future. This barrier, ironically, is the party's own alleged leadership in the Republican National Committee, a swarm of GOP "consultants", and top echelons of Congress where the preferred mode of battle appears to be piecemeal surrender.

Does IBD do drug testing? To borrow a phrase from Dear Leader, someone is wee-weed up.
Fine.
Just one thing. Keep American jobs in America.
Stop exporting jobs!
It makes tremendous sense. Unfortunately, the Republican leadership listens to the lies told them by the Democrats. It is pure insanity.
Samuel Francis described the GOP as “the stupid party”. The goal of the people in charge is to lose, apparently.
I think most GOP politicians prefer it that way, they get all the perks without having to take any real responsibility.
If they can blow it, they will. Think 2008 and 2012.
Let’s see, gop is trying its best to destroy the Tea partiers. Trying its best to be dem lite. And I’ll bet the farm they once again will go for an old pathetic party hack like McLame, Dull Dole or some Mormon like Mitt?
My thoughts exactly. The GOP is extremely good at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. It has happened far more times than I care to remember.
EXCERPT Once again, those moderates of the Republican Party inner circle are exhibiting a determination to obliterate any lingering shred of credibility left in the GOP.
Appearing in the shadow of a stellar CPAC 2013 gathering this past weekend, RNC Chairman Reince Priebus outlined the results of an introspective analysis of the partys lapses during the November 2012 elections. Predictably, the advice from the self-anointed experts is to move the party further left in order to persuade its opponents of a general willingness among the party hierarchy to abandon principle in a futile quest for votes.
The venue from which Priebus issued his statement, the National Press Club, reflects the Beltway Insider environment that has wrought nothing but a string of political disasters for Republicans in recent decades.
Yet, among those who believe that Washington has all the answers, and that the American Heartland is made up of unsophisticated rubes, the reality on Main Street is of little consequence.
Experts, the very same experts who gave us Bob Dole, John McCain, and Mitt Romney as the most electable candidates, now assert that the core principles which have defined the Republican Party are the root cause for its current unpopularity in the public eye.
Thus, the marginalization of those principles is the best course for the party as it seeks to resurrect its image in the public eye. Go figure. --snip--
From what I see, everything about America's education system, Gov't policies, health care and tort law are designed to discourage hiring, and thus encourage the export of jobs.
What a load.
The GOP is Left so, yeah, they’l blow it.
When an RNC committeeman from Michigan (Dave Agema) said something on facebook against gay marriage nobody paid it much attention. A “moderate” GOP blogger ran to his liberal friends in the media for help to destroy Agema.
BTW Dave Agema was elected to the RNC by a coalition of tea partiers, GOP conservatives and libertarians.
“Moderates” are lying, manipulative, bottom feeding scum. The GOP has been moderated into a coma and the moderates are pinching the feeding tube as their democrat friends goose step into full on fascism.
“...there is an X factor in the equation that could keep the GOP from a victorious future...the party’s own alleged leadership in the Republican National Committee, a swarm of GOP “consultants”, and top echelons of Congress where the preferred mode of battle appears to be piecemeal surrender.”

Republicans are content with table scraps and just having a nice seat at the table watch others chow down. Surrender — it’s what they do and how they roll.
The GOP has been moderated into a coma

As the old saying goes, if you don’t stand for something you’ll fall for everything.
I think most GOP politicians prefer it that way, they get all the perks without having to take any real responsibility.

Bingo! Its about them, not us.
Samuel Francis described the GOP as the stupid party.
********
The weak and stupid party.
The GOP is extremely good at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Nobody does it better. They have elevated it into an art form. In those rare instances when they get into the red zone, they promptly fumble the ball and let the Dems run it back for a TD.
