Many of the Nazi camps in Europe are falling apart, an expert has warned in advance of Holocaust Memorial Day.

Florence Eizenberg, who is finishing a doctorate on the topic of Holocaust denial, said that the camps, which provide valuable testimony to Nazi war crimes, are in poor condition. Eizenberg visited camps across Europe as part of her research. …

Not like the European Union really wants to keep evidence of the Holocaust intact. Wouldn’t fit with their anti-Israel narrative . . .

We can’t keep everything forever....

There is plenty of evidence of the Holocaust; the deniers aren’t going to believe no matter what.

Just this past week, I was visiting with a relative who HAS actual photos taken by one of our military personnel who WAS THERE when the camp(s) were liberated. The photos were taken by a small (probably an old “127”) sized camera and it very good condition. The photos show numerous bodies and skeleton stacked high, a small baby boy, many burned bodies, several bodies in open graves, etc. All I could say when I saw those photos was, “How could people have been such animals to do this to another human being”?

My relative wants these photos given to a special museum as they are the “real deal”. There is NO WAY ANYONE could not acknowledge that the photos are real and the holocaust DID HAPPEN.

Oh they’ll deny it regardless of whether those photos exist.

What those photos will do a very good job of is teaching others the reality of what happened.

Maybe it’s time for most of them to fall apart. Selected portions can be maintained. Only the witless can believe they were anything but death camps.

It would be somewhat awkward to try to raise funds to renovate death camps.

Don’t worry, Obama will be building some new ones.

If the Jews want to perpetuate the camps, let them fund the effort.

The works of man, both bad and good dissapate over time. The camps were temporary in nature and preservation should be viewed in that light.

You are wrong in your last sentence. Holocaust deniers, Clinton worshipers, global warming advocates, obama worshipers ,evolution advocates have one thing in common: When presented with evidence that goes against what they believe, they either deny it or ignore it , sometimes both and continue on their merry way. I learned from experience with Clinton worshipers their views cannot be changed.

Dear Zionist Pig,
The Holocaust was not real. It never happened. It was an evil plot by the evil joos! Included with this note is a signed copy of my book that proves joos are evil.
Sincerely,
M. Ahmadinejad

Hmm. Things like the Parthenon, Colosseum and the Pyramids seem to be lasting nearly forever. Seems like the existing monuments to the Holocaust just might be experiencing sabotage, in that light.

And what if the Europeans do not let them?

If the camps are deteriorating that fast, they are being sabotaged rather than merely neglected.

The camps are made of wood. The pyramids and the parthenon and etc. are made of stone.

Wood rots.

Stone does not.

It’s not a conspiracy.

Not merely coincidental that the stronger the EU gets politically, the more this kind of stuff occurs? The crematoria are not made of wood, nor are the buildings.

This may be a keystone issue. The way people react to it seems to be telling.

No, age is the problem. In America thousands of temporary structures were built during WW II. They had a short design life. Some are still around, there, but decaying.

We have many many US Army forts, some built of stone and brick that mark the progress of the westward expansion. Today, they are but ruins. Many are in Texas and mark the Forts trail, a really great trip. Another is Fort Union in New Mexico. A grand quartermaster post of some size, it was brick. Today it is ruins and foundations.

The concentration and POW camps were much less substantial. It is surprising if any thing but the concrete crematoria and perhaps the showers are intact.

Then there is me...... child of 1942. I’m here but showing my years.

Look: Building deteriorate. Concrete deteriorates, especially when it is poorly made as would be the case when it was done by slave labor. I am sorry you are unable to grasp that.

If that was a weasel mode attempt at accusing me of being an anti-semite or a holocaust denier then you are cordially invited to KMA.

That was a seemingly thin-skinned reply, WADR. A good way to make one suspicious, I might add, although suspicion can always be mistaken, of course.

How would you feel if memorials in DC fell into disrepair, then?

There you go implying again.

You don’t seem very bright to me, to be honest.

Such places becoming tourist attractions, with Coke machines and lo-flo toilets among many other modern conveniences, is bizarre to say the least. Do they have showers too?

And, heck, you don’t have to deny anything (and those so-called deniers, lite weight know nothings, have been quite convenient, so much that if they hadn’t existed they’d have to be invented!), just don’t talk about it, like we don’t talk about the killing fields, about the gulags, which, incidentally, have not been turned into amusement parks, and have not been maintained. 70-120 million perished in them! That’s nothing compared to the mythical Nazis of unknown parentage.
