Hillary Clinton’s quiet campaign for President
Washington Times ^ | April 6, 2013 | Lisa M. Ruth

Hillary Clinton is running for President in 2016. Her silence gives it away.

Rand Paul made his intentions clear by boisterously launching a filibuster against CIA appointee John Brennan and making a stand on immigration. He has been on the cover of newspapers and magazines, making proactive speeches and commenting on the statements of others. He is, clearly, positioning for a run in 2016.

Hillary Clinton is taking a different, quieter, approach.

[Snip]

Clinton knows what the campaign will look like and how hard it will be. She knows she could retire and speak on talk shows and conference circuit, write her book and maybe even relax.

But Hillary Clinton also likely feels the pull of destiny, the possibility of winning the presidency, the possibility of redemption.

Clinton is building, quietly and carefully. Last week, long-time Clinton ally James Carville talked in glowing terms about Hillary Clinton and her capabilities. He discussed the Super PAC, Ready for Hillary that is trying to lure her into running in 2016 and how the group is trying to build grass-roots support for Clinton. Clinton stepped out of politicking when she became Secretary of State, he explained, so the Super PAC is working to rebuild her political base. It is also, of course, raising money.

Carville’s public appearances also reminded the public Clinton is still here, still viable.

We do not yet know when or how Clinton will announce her candidacy, but we do know it will not be accidental or unplanned.

The GOP needs to get its act together NOW.

Stop sending jobs to China.

Bring back US jobs. Cut down on welfare. Build up AMERICA for a change.

Now. This cannot wait.

America first.

The DemocRATS are ready to play their second stringers. Hillary came in second up against their boy, Barry Soetoro. He cleared the way for incompetence in the White House. It’s ready for Slick Willie’s wife now. If Barry can do it, anybody can. Low information voters unite! Your party needs you!

There are too many stupid people in America and if Clinton is the Dem nominee, it will be women, women, women, victims, victims, victims. I have a friend in Indiana who went to a salon the week of the last election and her stylist told her that “If Romney gets elected, he will fire all female employees. I need my job.” When my friend told her sister, that person also said she heard that, too, and “that is why Obama needs to be elected.” Can you imagine what will happen if Princess Clinton is elevated to the nominee?

It’s my belief that Hillary’s health problems are more serious than what the public has been led to believe. The media will do their best to keep this quiet, just as they did with FDR during his campaign for a 4th term. However, if she has some sort of episode in a public setting, they won’t be able to gloss over this issue.

She should be boasting about her diplomatic successes as Sec of State - stopping Iranian nuclear development, arab spring, Benghazi, etc. /sarc

You may well be correct, and of course she could be debilitated before 2016.

If not I think she’s a lock for the Dem nomination, taking out SlowJoe and Cuomo early in the primaries.

I do not think Hillary has decided yet, but I think that articles like this are meant to pressure her to decide to.

She will win, and will be nearly a big a disaster as Barry - perhaps even bigger. Count on it.

Let's see...the media, academia, Hollywood, and the democRAT party want Hillary to be president.

All of the forgoing cults hate Sarah Palin.

Maybe Sarah Palin should be the first female president?

I think the demographic tides mean little hope for Republicans in the POTUS race.

Our only hope might be billionaire egomaniac Bloomie running as an indy and we pull off a Clintonian plurality win.

Unfortunately Bloomie and the Clintons are allies, so if Hillary is the Dem nominee, little chance Bloomie would torpedo her.

As if it wouldn’t be bad enough to have another Socialist POTUS to nail shut America’s coffin, the thought of Bubba back in the White House with time on his hands is intolerable. Cigars for my “friends.”
