Unarmed guards? Yeah, that’s the ticket.

My private ‘cop’ is a Springfield Loaded 1911 45 ACP with two backup Wilson Combat 8 round mags next to my bedside.

Were I any more ‘afraid’ that circumstances could not be handled that, there is a shitstorm of other, some even more deadly, responses to choose from. Cops? Who needs a cop?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Francisco_Committee_of_Vigilance

The San Francisco Committee of Vigilance was a popular ad hoc organization formed in 1851 and revived in 1856 in response to rampant crime and corruption in the municipal government of San Francisco, California. It was one of the most successful organizations in the vigilante tradition of the American Old West.

These militias hanged eight people and forced several elected officials to resign. Each Committee of Vigilance formally relinquished power after three months.

To make a long story short, if you don’t already own a firearm, you may want to look into getting one, getting trained up on how to use it and then spending time at the range familiarizing yourself with it. You’re on your own.

It will never occur to them that they can do it themselves.

The streets will be safer with fewer cops *if* citizens are allowed to protect themselves.

Looks like the progressives can’t deal with the result of their ideas.
When you run out of other peoples money it gets mean.

With cities cutting their police to balance budgets...

Some group's gotta take the fall for the Mayors 'retreat' in Hawaii with his top staff members - might as well be citizens in need of protection from thugs... so cut the police department.

Liberal Elites need tax dollars for the big clunker of a Sports Stadium to shore up entertainment for elites in town... the little people can pay for that with their taxes too... High class entertainment for the elites with their clubs at museums - with tax deductible 'balls' on our dime. That's a good reason to cut police protection.

Liberal elites know how to take care of themselves... first, last and always... Besides, liberal elites live in gated communities anyhow so who gives a flip about everyday people being preyed upon by criminals?

Liberal elites have a solution: Take guns away from middle class law biding citizens so they can't even protect themselves.

Is that a twofer or what? It's a liberal world after all... right?

I heard on the news that Stockton, Ca.’s police force now consists of 50% 2 or less years of service officers as the veteran leave for other PDs......I’d be willing to bet that that will be a continuing problem for them as people sign on for resume building purposes after being turned down by other Departments..

Well look at it this way. There will be fewer shot dogs and fewer newspaper delivery women gunned down.

The American government is becoming increasingly unable to deal with the criminal element of our society. The judiciary branch is the most culpable, in that many judges have never met a criminal they did not favor.

However, many citizens have become so pathologically soft and tender that they actually side with the criminal element. Look at the crowd that weep and wails whenever some miserable piece of fate is about to be executed. Think of the amount of ink spilled and paper wasted in writing articles condemning capital punsihment. This attitude helps elect the judge who favors criminals.

I don’t really see anything wrong with hiring guards to patrol your neighborhood. All the guns in the world aren’t going to stop a home burglary when you are not home. If it causes criminals to avoid the area all together in search of softer targets all the better.

Here’s an idea: make the transition from depending on government employees to defend you to depending on the safety of a reliable firearm.

Union cops keep getting raises and improved retirements. Cities and towns can’t afford that, so the budget takes a hit. Year after year.

Pretty soon, small towns and cities will have only a skeleton crew of police, with just a few on shift at any given time. The same goes for fire departments.

This is not gonna end well. Guaranteed.
