Look at the slide one of the students photographed. It lists the following organizations as "extremist":

"Evangelical Christianity" "Ultra-Orthodox (Israel/Judiasm)" "Catholicism" "Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints"

That pretty well covers a huge number of people who seriously believe in the Bible or the Torah. Indeed, it is those very people who have, historically, been most willing to volunteer for the military, risk and often lay down their lives for this country. IOW it's a deliberate smear of some of our greatest patriots, living and dead.

As an honorably discharged Army officer (active duty 1968-1970) I can say, from my personal experience, that "learing" materials like the slide in question are not created by individual company grade officers and presented to military audiences without higher level approval and direction. Rather, any such slide is a part of a canned presentation designed to be given to large numbers of troops. The argument that this presenter came up with this and did it on her own is a CYA lie designed to scapegoat her and cover for some higher ups, probably all the way to the top, the America and American hating secret Mudslime and communist Illegal himself.

Honestly this really does sound and look like someone put their own personal opinion on a briefing slide they made themselves.

The slide doesn’t have the visual quality that one usualy finds in sanctioned DOD courses prepared for wide distribution. It really does look like someone threw it together in a Powerpoint presentation.

Posted many times before, and largely debunked. Someone tasked to present mandatory training at a Reserve Center, dumped propaganda from the Southern Poverty Law Center into a Powerpoint briefing and presented it. If you read the article, you will see that it does not support the headline.

Charlton Heston; “From My Cold Dead Hands”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ju4Gla2odw

Every time out country stands in the path of Danger an instinct seems to summons her finest first. Those who truly understand it.

When freedom shivers in the path of true peril it is always the patriots who first hear the call. When loss of liberty is looming as it is now the siren sounds first in the hearts of freedoms vanguard the smoke in the air of our Concord Bridges and Pearl Harbors is always smelled first by the farmers. Who come from their simple homes to find the fire and fight, because they know that sacred stuff resides in that wooden stock and blued steel.

Something that gives the most common man the most uncommon of freedoms. When ordinary hands can possess such and extraordinary instrument that symbolizes the full measure of human dignity and liberty.

That is why those 5 words issue an irresistible call with all and we must. So as we set out this year to defeat the divisive forces that would take freedom away, I want to say those fighting words, for everyone within the sound of my voice, to hear and to head, and especially for you Mr. Gore “From my Cold Dead Hands”.

Charlton Heston (addressing the 2000 NRA Convention)

Yes, Heston is gone, but the threat is no less.,/P>

listed Evangelical Christianity and Catholicism as examples of religious extremism

Think about that phrase for a minute. "religious extremism", That means you are committed to your faith. That would seem like a badge of honor.

What would be the opposite of a committed Christian?
Maybe those names are how we should characterize our opponents.

"Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints"

That one I'll go along with.

I question the source... I would think real army training materials would spell “Morman” correctly...

Gals, gays and the godless — our new military. Now I fully understand why they want women in the military and why they will probably be pushing even harder for the draft.

With gays in the military, christian families will no longer be so quick to send their children into harms way. They will need to try to recruit women because the number of men will eventually decrease and they will need to make up the difference with women. In war time, they will want to re-institute the draft claiming they can’t get enough volunteers.

Meanwhile, with God not being worshipped, we end up losing every battle.
