He doesn’t give me ‘hope’...Like Rubio, I also heard him comment about illegal immigration. His comments regarding “we already have defacto acceptance” (or equivalent) isn’t an excuse to appease on Democrats’ stand on it. As far as I’m concerned, both he and Rubio are listening to those same no-ball bastard consultants that bilked McCain and Romney out of some serious cash talking about relaxation of ideals, the ‘ooohhhh’ Hispanic vote, and all the other oooga booga we can’t win if we stick to our traditional ideals. Hell no....Hell fracking NO!
I’m disgusted with the inevitable movement towards amnesty as well, but let’s not kid ourselves. It’s the direction the country is moving in. So we are faced with two choices: stay monochromatic and increasingly irrelevant or focus on what can resonate with America. The GOP needs to become the party of freedom. This was once true, but after the Bush II years, it no longer is. The two party system has become statist team blue and statist team red. No thanks! Give me the guy who is pro gun freedom, pro economic freedom, pro personal freedom, America first and not afraid of the system. Yes, his immigration views suck on the Tancredo Scale. But so do the rest of the major candidates.
I like Rand Paul’s common sense over others. Rand has surprised me on many issues, but I dis-liked his father, Ron Paul, and still do.
