They are good cruise missile launchers.

It is believed that North Korea cannot mobilize their army because of parts shortages and fuel issues.

NK has just completed wargames in the border region, where they created much hardship for the local civilians by clearcutting woodlands, eating local food supplies that can’t be replaced. Among their wargames were tunneling exercises.

One case of a starving soldier being beaten for stealing some rice and he retaliated and shot 5 officers.

It’s also a good carrier of the big bunker buster bombs.

The NORKS have 10K arty tubes of 152mm and up within 20 miles of the DMZ. One salvo and they’ll kill 50K people in Seoul. None of this requires much movement. The arty sites are stocked and sighted in. By the time USAF and ROK planes are in the air and cany counter battery fire is effective Seoul could be a smoldering ruin.

Send a couple of squadrons of A-10s to South Korea. Their ground vehicles will only have to drive a couple of miles before they are destroyed.

.....>It is believed that North Korea cannot mobilize their army because of parts shortages and fuel issues.<....

I’ve understood that as well....

Additionally they hope to terrify their people enough to keep them in check,....much of the military personel is undernourished and have defected when possible. I read long while back before thes recent happenings, the soldiers were compalaining because they had to grow their own food.

So the more propaganda out there that makes it look like war and pictures Kim as tough..the better they get their message across to the Military and the Korean people.

Eventually he’ll make it look like he brought a peaceful solution to these events...a triumph for him.

"It is believed that North Korea cannot mobilize their army because of parts shortages and fuel issues."

Don't know if that's true, but I don't believe even the little fat-Un would attack anyone. While they could destroy much of Seoul with their artillary, their generals know damn well that the Western world would come down on them with a rain of fire that they couldn't possibly survive.

Even Obambi would have to take such action, whether he wants to or not. It's all posturing by the Norks to get more concessions from the US and UN.

Nothing is going to happen from the child Un. Yes, his military is faithful (mostly for survival), but they know if they attack S. Korea or anyone else, they are history. I'm actually waiting for a military coup.

They are good cruise missile launchers.

They can also carry a large number of JDAM and JSOW bombs, each of which can be set up to hit a different target. And I would imagine that we have a bunch of drones busily mapping where the NK bunkers and guns are.

They don’t need to mobilize the whole army at the same time. Do it incrementally, starting with those at the northernmost part of the country, get them to the border first, and move those progressively south, next. It’s a much smaller footprint, and more difficult to detect.

It’s smart, anyway. That’s what I would do if I was in command.
