You appear to be reading comprehension challenged.

Try reading your own quotation: “Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.”

Nine sins are listed. The fourth on the list is homosex, which certainly does not imply any uniquely or specially sinful status.

Homosex is against the law of God, as stated in this scripture and others. But then so is adultery and sexual immorality in general. Which means any sexual activity outside of marriage.

This is a higher standard, not a lower one.

In practical terms, most “Christian” churches today, even the most conservative ones, accept heterosex before marriage. Certainly they do not denounce it with the fervor they reserve for homosex. Yet in the scripture above there is no particularly obvious reason why B should be considered more sinful than A.

Well, there’s that abomination/detestable thing, but you prefer to edit that out. Not applicable, right?

Have at it.

" Since no such distinction is specifically found in the Law itself, and the two groups are intermingled throughout, as shown by Leviticus 19, it means somebody has to decide which column to put a law into.

Which means the question arises, who makes that decision and on what basis? And what scriptural reason is there for not later deciding that the prohibition against homosexual acts should not be reclassified as ceremonial rather than moral? Other than personal preference, of course."

Do you read or just skim---or are you deliberately obtuse? I'm not going to repeat myself.

Not editing a thing out.

Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.

You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.

A woman shall not wear a man’s garment, nor shall a man put on a woman’s cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God.

Unequal weights and unequal measures are both alike an abomination to the Lord.

Everyone who is arrogant in heart is an abomination to the Lord; be assured, he will not go unpunished.

IOW, abomination is used to refer to quite a number of sins, some of them sexual, others not.

As stated earlier, I quite agree that homosex is a sin against God. I merely find little warrant in Scripture for the notion that it is uniquely and peculiarly sinful, or that God views it as greatly more evil than other sexual sins which so many of us today take for granted as normal.

I didn't have a chance to read this when first posted, but am glad I saved it.

Thanks for the good reference and study guide!

Whatever the consequences shall be, this genie has been freed from the bottle, again.
