You got to admit it really does highlight how senatorial and congressional politics is really just a game of buying other people’s vote.
I could get rid of homelessness in Reno really quickly. The Reno area has a lot going for it as far as tourism. Unfortunately, the bums are everywhere downtown. I would make it illegal to panhandle or give money to bums (I would encourage people to contribute to programs to help the mentally ill and treatment centers instaed). Cleaning up downtown Reno would encourage more tourism which would increase jobs and further reduce homelessness. Of course we could always do it the liberal way and buy them all shopping carts.
Send the homeless Mexicans back to Mexico.
After the $7.4 Million is spent, will Harry guarantee that there will be no more Homeless People in Nevada?
I guess Harry forgot how that Billion Dollar “Stimulus” Bill worked out.
Exactly. Taxpayers should be asking “Why am I paying for program ABC in the State of PQR, when I reside in State XYZ?”, let alone asking why their tax $$ left the State to begin with (and how much was skimmed off the top by D.C. when it’s ‘given back’).
Of course the GOP isn’t smart, nor willing enough, to ask old Henry when the War on Poverty will be won.
Unfortunately, there’s enough low-information to go around all sides of the trough. Look how many here think they’re entitled to S.S. Why? all those years they ‘paid in’ *rolls eyes*
More like pay more voters to keep voting for his party.
Greyhound tickets to Arizona or NM are that expensive? That’s how you’ll fight homelessness in Nevada, Harry, and use the rest for cushy jobs for your pals.
“This not pork, this is theft masquerading as redistribution.”
“The Democrat party is a criminal enterprise.”
“There is only one cure and it is not prison.”
BUMP! BUMP! BUMP!
Well-stated and worth repeating. Thanks, bert.
That will allow one homeless person to live for a week it he lived up to the 0’s standards.
Hairy, is doing a great jobbie.
That money will all be stolen.
Safari International just announced that they are NOT bringing their convention to Reno this year or possible ever again.
That is over 14,000 attendees—and they are wealthy & they spend money.
This leaves a BIG hole in the Reno economy.
