At the Easter service attended Sunday by President Barack Obama and his family, the pastor railed against "captains of the religious right," according to the White House pool report cited by the Washington Post. The service, led by Rev. Luis Leon, was held at Saint Johns Church at Lafayette Square, which is where the First Family worships most often, though they have not formally joined any particular church in Washington, D.C.

According to a press pool report of Leons sermon, the minister criticized what he called the captains of the religious right.
People often want things to go back to the way things used to be, before work got difficult and faith got confused, and life got more confusing, Leon said, according to the pool report.
You cannot go back, Leon said, citing the words of Jesus. It drives me crazy when the captains of the religious right are always calling us back ... for blacks to be back in the back of the bus ... for women to be back in the kitchen ... for immigrants to be back on their side of the border.
Episcopagan. Same group that legitimized divorce, artificial contraception (they were the leaders), and homosexuality. No surprises here, folks.
Guess I’m not surprised Obama would pick a Rev Wright Wannabe as his pastor in DC...

What that “pastor” is describing is what the LEFT wants to do to blacks..the left despises blacks..wants them to remain on the plantation forever so that the Dems keep getting elected..they are just too damn blind to see it..figures that idiot would say that in a Chicago church..its where Obama learned to be a Commie
It sounds to me like little Luis was just showing off for his buddy, Barry the Sequesterer. Sort of like campaigning in church for the Communist DemocRAT Party. He doesn’t appear to be very bright. But hey! There’s no law against being stupid.
Why do hardcore lefties even bother going to church when we all know they and their Democratic cohorts care nothing about morals and they try to supress anything that mentions or symbolizes religion.
NICE!
Well I guess I’m OK then cuz I’m just a Buck Private.
“Captains of the religious right?” Let’s see how big your words are after you name these “captains of the religious right.”
You beat me to it. I was thinking the same thing: leave it to Obama to find a church home that preaches a social gospel. Forget the fact that it’s the “religious right” that champions for the unborn in this country. He calls us religious right - I call us Christians.
No, on the day that Christians celebrate Jesus’ victory over death, a man who told the Egyptian ambassador that he was and still is a Muslim listened to a sermon that apparently had nothing to do with Jesus at all. Not surprising at all.
Delusional.
...for women to be back in the kitchen...
The left wants to stigmatize a woman's choice to stay at home; the right wants it respected. It's the left that wants to limit women's options.
... for immigrants to be back on their side of the border ...
Tendentious to the max. As if the proliferation of illegals represents inevitable "progress" rather than an abject failure of immigration policy.
On a day when we should be celebrating what Christ did for all, we get the high and mighty divisive message from the left. They always miss the boat because they are their own gods.
Lord have Mercy
led by Rev. Luis Leon, of the Jeramiah Wright School of Progressive Divinity and Race Baiting.
Obviously the Preacher got word ahead of time that Obama was coming , and decided to forget Jesus rising from the dead , and play to Obama his real savior.
Each of which is a lie. There are no conservative Christian pastors asking for blacks to go to the days of segregation, for women to return to abuse, and for legal immigrants to do anything other than enjoy their new country.
This guy is a liar and the truth is not in him.
