Luckily for me University of Florida is quite cheap for it’s quality. I also was able to use my GI Bill before having to take any loans. I’ll graduate with very little owed and an engineering degree. Out of state colleges for useless degrees are really going to bite some people in the ass.
43 years (if I make it to May 12) as a Mechanical Engineering Technician at one of the top AE firms in the U.S. Not a single college credit. Try that today.
That, my young friend, is EXACTLY the way to do it. My daughter will get out with less than $6 k in debt...which is less than I incurred 30 years ago. Having no debt is like adding $10,000 to your peer group base salary.
