The effects of nuclear fallouts are way over exaggerated. Sure, you dont want to breath the stuff in, but it doesnt last forever like in the doomsday movies.A lot depends on the bomb casing material. Cobalt, for instance, could be a problem.

Shoot, a fella could have a pretty good weekend in Vegas with all that stuff.I have read that the line as originally filmed was ". . a pretty good weekend in Dallas . . . ". The Kennedy assassination took place before the movie was released, and Slim Pickens was called back to dub in the one word "Vegas".

It is interesting to watch a country with the desire to become glassHaven't you heard?
The EPA has banned nuclear weapons, and our last few are being dismantled as you read this.

Have to wonder ... since reports say NKorea is basically a nonelectric nation (if hunch is correct) media governmental approved information reaching those persons living in NKorea would be nonexistent. Would it make sense the overwhelming majority of NKoreans have no idea what their leadership is doing with this provocation, or do the NKoreans rely on word of mouth to send messages out into the countryside for war preparations to the general population?

LOL, what’s the difference between a real declaration of war and this North Korean “full war declaration statement from DPRK”. I guess the latter involves temper tantrums instead of actual military action.
This thing is actually pretty hilarious to read. You would think they’d be embarrassed putting this sort of stuff out, but I guess not since it’s really meant for internal politics anyway.
I do hope that if the North tries anything that actually matters to make their point that South Korea punches back hard. As of right now, this is just a bunch of silly crybaby crap coming from Pyongyang.
To: Longbow1969
Thanks Longbow. I had started to think it was because some leaders wanted to play basketball and vacation with lil' kim. Thank you for stating what needed stating and punching me back to reality.

Oh, so you're saying that this...
"Those who laughed at us are raped and killed."
...is just a detached observation about probability? There's not just a touch of vengeance seeking here, just maybe?
If that's really what you're saying, then please pardon me for a second while I laugh in your face.
And this shows one of the problems with you people. You're completely blind to how offensive you can be.

I was walking from Chemistry to English class my freshman year in college. Something tells me the poster who keeps pushing denial of the utter devastation and poisons in the atmosphere nuclear exchange would bring about, well that poster is stuck in magic thinking because it feeds the normalcy bias it needs to shut the ‘evil’ out of its psyche. Whne someone is that vested in denial it is best to leave them to their comfy zone ... reasoning based upon a story Jung told regarding a German pediatrician who had come to Jung asking to be trained in his methodologies; a recurring dream the man had clued Jung in as to the needs of the man’s psyche, for protection of his normalcy bias.

OK What are the odds that the little buffooon is blustering to make himself look good, and then not actually doing anything, and then telling his people he scared us off, and that we will be able to resume normal relations, since we are properly scared of them... or something
I know, its a long shot

I have to tell this story. My apology if is not interesting. Similar to your story yet dissimilar. There was a Professor of physics and had his class. He loved to tweak the students. He once suggested we round up all the nuclear waste and distribute it evenly around the nation into the homes of those living inside the U.S. to be the most viable of storage opinions for nuclear fuel waste. He was kidding but one would not believed the number of students who considered this a viable idea. I laughed for weeks and still smile when I think of that Professor.
