The Federal Government cannot even make payroll this year for its employees due to Sequestration, and yet Obama is spending money like someone who just got their EBT re-loaded at the beginning of the month.

Despite passage the Continuing Resolution that allowed the Pentagon to restore badly needed Operations and Maintenance funds that had been decimated by the 2011 $487 Billion in cuts and the Sequester, the DoD will still furlough 750,000 employees for 2 weeks - a 13% cut in pay that includes nurses, maintainers, firefighters, engineers....everyone except foreign nationals being paid on the DoD dime and a small percentage who were exempted for immediate health and safety.

The Government is still going to have to furlough FBI agents, Border Patrol Agents, and other vital staff.

Furlough Watch: Agency-by-Agency Impacts of Sequestration

This week alone, Obama gave away half a Billion dollars to the Palestinians, and pledged another $200 Million to the Syrians.

Congress should immediately freeze every nickel of that money. It is unconsiounable that TRICARE staff that provides medial care for our active duty, Guard, Reserves, and retirees and their families is being cut due to the Seqester, but Obama is still spending money like this.

Where are Boehner, Cantor, and Ryan now? Oh that's right, vacation again.

Didn't this clown blow a trillion bucks on "shovel ready jobs" like infrastructure improvements?

or did all that loot go out as pay offs to his debtors?

Please note that the “2 weeks” furlough is 14 working days, thus it is 1 day short of 3 work weeks of furlough.

President Barack Obama will press Congress to pass new tax incentives and other flexibility measures aimed at attracting more private sector investment in infrastructure projects around the country

What "tax incentives" is Jug pushing now? Does he mean new TAX LOOPHOLES?

Didn't Jug Ears just blow a wad of his political capital strong-arming the GOP to increase tax rates on the very people who make "private sector investments" in infrastructure?

Sorry Jug maybe there is less cash to "invest" now that "the rich" are paying THEIR FAIR SHARE

for the $6 Trillion he ALREADY WASTED we could have upgraded our disastrously outdated electrical grid

One or two well-place EMP strikes and we are back to living in the horse-and buggy age. But it would be much much worse because we are not READY to live that way. Millions would starve before we adapted, but by then an invading army would be in control.

My city was proposing a golden parachute of $500,000 for the City Manager to leave his job 5 weeks early, on the same day it took me 50 seconds to get an answer at 911.

Gotta love politicians priorities

Logic defied

There are more people on Welfare in Illinois than there are people working.

Chicago pays the highest wages to teachers than anywhere else in the U.S. averaging $110,000/year. Their pensions average 80-90% of their income. State pension fund $78 Billion in debt, worst in country.
Chicago school system rated one of the worst in the country.
Wow, are Illinois and Chicago great or what?

Be sure to read till the end. I’ve never heard it explained better.

Perhaps the U.S. should pull out of Chicago? Body count: In the last six months 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago. 221 killed in Iraq AND Chicago has one of the strictest gun laws in the entire US.

Here’s the Chicago chain of command:

President: Barack Hussein Obama
Senator: Dick Durbin
House Representative: Jesse Jackson Jr.
Governor: Pat Quinn
House leader: Mike Madigan
Atty. Gen.: Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike)
Mayor: Rahm Emanuel
The leadership in Illinois - all Democrats.

Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago. Of course, they’re all blaming each other. Can’t blame Republicans; there aren’t any!

Cook County ( Chicago ) sales tax 10.25% highest in country.

This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois. And he is going to ‘fix’ Washington politics for us???

George Ryan is no longer Governor, he is in the big house. Of course he was replaced by Rob Blajegovitch who is...that’s right, also in the big house. And Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. resigned a couple of weeks ago. That is because he is fighting being sent to...that’s right, the big house.

The Land of Lincoln, where our governors make our license plates.

But you know what?

As long as they keep providing entitlements to the population of Chicago, nothing is going to change, except the state will go broke before the country does.

“Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian.”
