‘But at least 50% of so-called “Christians” are either “neutral” on the issue or all FOR it, even using the BIBLE to back up the fag marriage argument!!’

This fascinates me. There are at least 8 specific Biblical prohibitions on same sex relations in 7 different Books of the Bible. How does one find scriptural basis for such conduct?

If the Republican Party supports homosexual marriages, social-issue conservatives will abandon the Republican Party by the millions.
Yes, by the millions.

Hey, RINO’s: try to win a national election without us.

...and thereby ensuring victory for your supposed enemies for any foreseeable future...yeah, seems like a well thought out strategy to me...

[[I just don’t see States, like my home state of West Virginia, where the polls show the opposition to gay marriage has actually increase from 68% in 2009 to 72% now, legalizing it anytime soon (soon being in my lifetime).]]

I know californication is a different state, but look at what happened there- the majority voted to ban gay marriage, but hte courts stepped in and overturned their vote-

Probably the same way they "find" a non-existant "right to privacy" clause in the U.S. Constitution and so on. Liberal "Christians" find some passage that says "Jesus loves mankind" and say it REALLY means that "Jesus would support gay marriage"

“No, they will start showing up at churches and demand the church marry them.If they don’t get their way, the churches will be threatened and taken to court.”

Unlikely. They may try, but will fail. Churches (and other religious institutions) do not have to marry anyone they don’t want to. Catholic churches may refuse to marry people who have divorced; many religions can (and do) refuse to preside over intermarriages; there are even some racist churches that will not conduct interracial marriages. The state cannot restrict these marriages, but also cannot force churches to conduct them. If the Supreme Court institutes same-sex ‘marriage’, the same thig would happen - the state would be forced to recognize (and conduct) such “marriages,” but religious institutions would not.

Priests and preachers will be required to officiate the ceremonies.

...doubt it...can’t see any type of gay marriage legislation getting through, without carrying a religious objection clause...

Speaking out against it will be punishable by law.

...not likely, not in this country...unless it liable to a slander charge, in which case the subject of the speech would not matter, but only its delivery...

When gay marriage is legal, marriage will mean nothing.

I agree with you. Abortion issue at the very least should be a state issue if people are not considering this murder.

Taking a stand on Gay Marriage at the federal level is upside down, but do YOU honestly believe that the left on the court will have the guts to punt this to the states? Hell No!

I’m watching what the conservative judges plan to do.

Do not fool yourself, religious institutions are being forced to do that which they do not want to do with Obamacare.

“None of this should even be debated on Capitol Hill.”

It isn’t being debated in Congress. It is being debated in the Supreme Court. The oral arguments sound like a congressional debate because the whole focus was on “How should I vote on this issue?” rather than “What does the US Constitution say?”

And that makes it even worse...

CINOs
Christian in Name Only.
If you do not believe the scripture is God’s innerrant, infallible Word, then you can make up your own religion as you go along. This they do but continue to call themselves Christians. Which is worse than just being an out and out pagan. They will be judged much more severely, for they should know better!

See especially vs. 7-19
Jude 1
3 Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. 4 For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

5 Now I want to remind you, although you once fully knew it, that Jesus, who saved[c] a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. 6 And the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day— 7 just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire,[d] serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.

8 Yet in like manner these people also, relying on their dreams, defile the flesh, reject authority, and blaspheme the glorious ones. 9 But when the archangel Michael, contending with the devil, was disputing about the body of Moses, he did not presume to pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but said, “The Lord rebuke you.” 10 But these people blaspheme all that they do not understand, and they are destroyed by all that they, like unreasoning animals, understand instinctively. 11 Woe to them! For they walked in the way of Cain and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam’s error and perished in Korah’s rebellion. 12 These are hidden reefs[e] at your love feasts, as they feast with you without fear, shepherds feeding themselves; waterless clouds, swept along by winds; fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, uprooted; 13 wild waves of the sea, casting up the foam of their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved forever.

14 It was also about these that Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his holy ones, 15 to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness that they have committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” 16 These are grumblers, malcontents, following their own sinful desires; they are loud-mouthed boasters, showing favoritism to gain advantage.

A Call to Persevere
17 But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. 18 They[f] said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.” 19 It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. 20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. 22 And have mercy on those who doubt; 23 save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment[g] stained by the flesh.

Doxology
24 Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, 25 to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

Of course not. Once gay marriage is legalized, churches will be forced to marry homosexuals. Homosexuality will be taught in the public schools under the premise that kids need to know about different kinds of families. Business owners that are involved in providing wedding services will be forced provide them for homosexuals or close. Homosexual couples will demand equal access to children in adoption cases.

Homosexual marriage is the beginning of the left's assault on religious freedom and parental rights.

Rush is probably right!

These predictions are becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy.

It was just last year a marriage amendment passed with 61% of the vote in North Carolina.

The next move will be going after the tax exempt status of any Church that refuses to perform “same sex marriages” if asked by a pair. The refusal will be seen as a political statement therefore political activity.

I wrote on an immigration thread a couple of months ago that the Republicans are caving because they just want to get rid of the issue, and that they’re basically cowards who won’t fight for conservative priciples (if they have any).

Rush is saying the same about gay marriage today and I think he’s totally right about that. The GOPe/RINO/Beltway gangs are caving on many issues just to get them out-of-the way as future campaign issues.
