Heck no. IMO, it’s also people who don’t belong to a “protected class” that should distrust the government.

It should extend beyond just gun owners, but in many cases it does not. Too many of us are content to trade our freedom for entitlement, government cradle-to-grave subjugation.

Individuality and freedom are a lost commodity to over half of this country’s population. Couple this with an ever increasing influx of both legal and illegal immigrants whose sole goal is to reap the riches of this country without the hard work or contributions, and you have the makings of a complete disaster in our near future.

If you believe Democrats, this country is a country of victims and special interest groups whose main identifying characteristics is that they are not traditional Judeo-Christian Whites - and they have ALL been victimized, ARE victimized daily by the “man” (i.e., the old white man to be exact).

LOL! the entire basis of our Founding was 'distrust of government'!

And government really hasn't given us much of a reason to trust it since.

Distrust? Paranoia? Who is it that sets up metal detectors and scanners to enter building?

Who is it that wants to disarm the American citizen while heavily arming themselves?

The United States is a country FOUNDED on DISTRUST OF GOVERNMENT.
The only reason our bill of rights exists at all is because of our distruct for government.

That anyone could ever “trust” government, though they’re the majority on Earth.

Why would anyone EVER trust the government for anything? The most venal characters in existence enter government “service” for the purpose of gaining power their personal qualities would never give them.

If We gun owners are the only group that distrusts or suspects the government and want to hold them accountable....this game is over even before it starts.

Trust but verify at the very least.

Most Americans have been so busy with fun and games that they have ignored the real threat. America is slowly being converted to communist with a doctoral leader. The real shi! has not hit the fan and still it will be hard to convince the ignorant that if we lose the battle they will go down with the ship also. Ignorance is rampant in America.

Perhaps citizens remember that when the income tax was first passed, it was only levied on the rich and it was stated that it would never exceed 3%.

When the government’s nose gets into the tent of our constitutional rights, it inexorably takes over the tent until there are no more rights.

The question is, should this distrust of government be a phenomenon that is exclusive to gun owners?

No question to this question especially when Dems run things.

Can the FedMob be trusted to secure our borders?

Can the FedMob be trusted to help you after a hurricane destroys your town?

Can the FedMob be trusted to tell you how much your health insurance is going to cost?

Can the FedMob be trusted to keep our embassies safe?

Can the FedMob be trusted to tell us the truth ... about anything?

As a taxpayer, I distrust government. As a voter who only votes once per election, I distrust government. As a Christian who wants to exercise my religion 24 hours a day and not just for 90 minutes on Sundays, I distrust government. As a parent of kids who are inheriting a massive debt due to massive government fraud, waste, and abuse, I distrust government. And yes, as a gun owner, I distrust government.

The people we should watch carefully are any people in our country who trust government - those people are dangerous.
