North Korea has put its artillery and "strategic" rocket units on combat ready, with orders to prepare for strikes against the US mainland, Hawaii and Guam.
The Korean People's Army supreme command reportedly ordered "all artillery troops including strategic rocket units and long-range artillery units to be placed under class-A combat readiness".
The units should be prepared to attack "all US military bases in the Asia-Pacific region, including the US mainland, Hawaii and Guam", as well as South Korea, said the statement carried by the Korean Central News Agency, the country's state media...

I’m concerned that obama will not allow what’s necessary to protect our troops in South Korea when the time comes.
I'm concerned that South Korea would likely be the first target if that nutcase is at all serious.
It’s very doubtful that Hussein has the stones to order the necessary military action to protect the United States.
He’d probably emerge somewhere over the rubble of the West Coast and blame it all on the U.S.
Then he’d commit American taxpayers to paying aid to North Korea while, at the same time, withholding funds to repair the western states and blaming it on republicans.
He has the stones. It's the desire & concern for America he lacks. As you implied, he could care less about America.
IF he did as you doubt he would do it would be the FIRST thing he's ever done FOR the United States of America since taking office and I say this objectively as I quickly review the history of his Presidency. The man has done nothing positive for this nation or the people legally living here.

And meanwhile amid the panic of distressed new gun buyers that cannot get any ammo because supposedly the DHS is buying everything up there was some leaked intel or rumor that the DHS has another agenda, its not to use that 2 billion round stockpile against Americans, no its to use against felloe agencies to shove them aside while they declare a coup upon Obama and take over Washington DC.

Kim may be using the recent bravado as a means to hang on to control. He’ll easily try to take as many others with him if he thinks he’s losing.
Obama is LOVING this! He's probably hoping that Alaska be hit first and hopefully just before the 2014 elections so that he can blame the Republican controlled House for forcing him to cut the military thus opening us up for the attack.
But there will be no US response yet. He'll drag it out and enter the war with NK sometime in the summer just before his re-election in 2016. After all, this would not be a good time to actually try to change administrations.

My 14 year old son talks about joining the military. For the first time, my heart sinks because I know this president do not have our military’s backs. When I read stuff like this, I don’t want him anywhere near the military. In his eyes, both his grandfathers and his dad were all military men. Should I let him know my fears or just let him dream his big dreams? Who knows...maybe he is born for this. He has leader qualities. But the country he wants to serve is NOT the same country we knew growing up. Thoughts??

I no longer advise people to join the military for reasons you have given. If he is 14, you can perhaps hope that things will be better by the time he is 18, although I would say that is a hail Mary pass at this point.
