You're preaching to the choir. It's fair to say most Missouri Freepers voted for Akin (even if they had to hold their nose). It were the conservative-leaning swing voters and moderates that Akin's bone-headed comments cost him.
Those voters you talk of guess they would not had voted for him much anyway. Like all republicans and conservatives voted for him. See some of these posts. It was not all of his fault; just saying.
