He’s just got to be hardcore liberal. Undoubtedly he was behind the gay marriage push all along; during Bush’s presidency, I saw the big rise of gay marriage movements seemingly out of the blue. He’s part of it.
Just like electing the first black president stopped the race card from being played any more?
