...Contrary to giddy liberals writing the obituary of the Republican Party, the nation has not swung left. Republicans just keep losing easy races through unforced errors. I advised them to stop doing that.
Not two days later, in the Republican primary for Tim Scott's old congressional seat from South Carolina, among the top two finalists was Mark Sanford....
The most memorable thing Sanford did in his entire life was to make himself a laughingstock as governor by running off with his Argentine honey and then going on TV to announce -- in front of his wife and children -- "I've fallen in love!"
Republicans need to be like Luca Brasi and tell Sanford: "You screwed up; we didn't do anything to you. Have fun, I'm sure Maria's fantastic, but you can't run for Congress."
We don't have to use every campaign trick of the Democrats...but one thing we could learn from them is to stop letting idiots destroy our party.
Democrats don't reward candidates who hurt them. Where's John Edwards' comeback campaign?
...Democrats boast that the country is moving to the left, but Republicans still hold the House...and I can think of at least 11 Senate seats Republicans have pissed away in the last few election cycles.
...If Republicans hadn't blown those 11 winnable races, Republicans would hold a 56-43 majority in the Senate today. Think of how different the country would look! Those 11 seats were gifts to the Democrats; their Senate majority does not reflect any particular strength of theirs.

That’s not why she’s hated here.
umm... he sleeps with the fishes...
Ann is a sellout. Romney is a liberal.America benefits from neither. But Ann’s bank account benefits from both. Do the math.
We sure fumbled the Senate ball here in Indiana.
Somehow we have to get these Tea Party candidates thru some type of boot camp to learn to deal with the MSM. Even an amateur like myself knew in Jan 2012 that journ0list Stephanopolus signaled the “war on women” meme for the campaign.
Democrats don't have that problem. Some of their biggest idiots are their biggest players. Algore, Jean effin' sKerry, "Shotgun" Joe Biteme, Charlie Rangell, Bawney Fwank,...
This forum isn’t interested in winning, it’s interested in purity.
Much like the Dead Sea Scrolls community...
What dumb thing to say.
Her ‘love affair’ with the fat b*stard of NJ didn’t help either. Is she trying for redemption?
No offense to you, but she sure did lose a LOT of credibility with those two picks and appeared as a RINO.
Since the opposite of purity is in fact corruption, I don’t see purity as a bad thing. Or is a homo and Abortion happy America acceptable?
Ain’t about “Purity” and a bynch of people running around screaming PURITY like Klanners screaming NXXXer at a Stone Mountain rally does nothing to move the country right.
None of these fools can barely break 50% of the platform much less the traditional 80%. So tell me about ‘purity’ again.
That’s exactly right. Democrats said 100 more idiotic thing than the most idiotic statement by a Republican not names Akin. They do not have to deal with the same toxic environment. Just take Pelosi and Reid’s top 10 and you have a hell of a list. One Democrat things Guam will tip over if more Marines are stationed there. A slew of Dems say outlandish, racist, foolish and evil things, but it never sees the light of day. I agree...we have to select our candidates carefully, and communication and ability to stay on message are two of the most important traits we need to use when evaluating. That said, I’ll take all the gains we have made in bad-ass conservatives in exchange for a few bad candidates. Sometimes you don’t know what you’ll get. It is worth the risk. I’ll trade Rubio, Cruz, Lee, Paul, Johnson, Toomey, Fisher and the rest of the 1st term conservatives over 4 more seats but a Senate made up of Crist, Dewhurst, and a bunch of other spineless, wimpy moderates with no convictions and no purpose.
Al Franken, Fauxcahontas 'whatshername,' John "Prozac" Conyers, Dennis "ET" Kooksinich, ...
The MSM never notices the imbecilic things Dems say.
I don’t hate Ann Coulter. She was a long-time friend and ally of Free Republic, and she has written a ton of good stuff.
But for whatever reason, she went off the rails over the past couple of years.
Here she is rightly criticizing the Republican establishment for constantly putting up losers for election, and not understanding why they are defeated. Yet over the past year she pushed hard for Romney and continued to speak well of Chris Christie.
And she was right in the thick of the CPAC hug-in with GOProud. What on earth was that all about?
Romney was a loser. Romneycare. Abortion. The first imposition of gay marriage in any state. Big spender. And he edged out Rick Santorum, who was in second place during most of the primary campaign, by pushing all sorts of lies about him in the media and in ads. Too bad he didn’t use the same kind of money and energy against Obama, after he got the nomination—with the help of Rove, Drudge, and Coulter.
This article is right on the money. Regretably, Ann Coulter didn’t follow her own advice over the past couple of years. I really don’t know why, and I was very sorry to see it happening.
Yes it’s funny how someone can be a hero here one day and despised the next. How many pics were posted of “Rove you magnificent basterd”...hundreds. Now he’s despised
Because she isn’t what she claims to be. It is that simple.
I bought a lot of her books. They had great stuff!. But when the chips were down, she threw in with EVERYTHING she wrote against. She saw a brass ring and a seat at the table of power.
She chose poorly.
“Ill trade Rubio,...”
No need. He already bats for the other team. See immigration for details.
Thatz not why she’s hated here.
She went after her core market and told us to pics off.
Have at it Annie ...
Just an FYI for people struggling to understand Coulter and many turncoat repubs. Get thee to Amazon and order a copy of “The 48 Laws of Power” By Robert Greene. Read it. Read it again. You will have your answers. I promise.
What Ann overlooks is Obama won by extreme voter fraud.. in MOST places.. not every place but most places..
Those 11 Senate seats must been lost in exactly the same way..
Nov. 6th 2012 exposed something very nasty.. IT WAS TOO CORRUPT(voting).. OVER corrupt..
So corrupt it was obvious to any with eyes open..
No doubt the democrats will be more careful in 2014 and 2016..
Amazing how republicans (generally) don’t WANT TO SEE IT...
To see it would require action..
